Cunningham hurts the most we could of had Dunlap

Maybe it was situation. If we got Dunlap, he would have sucked, and Cunningham would have excelled.

But BB seems to put a lot of faith into certain opinions like Schiano, and then we start getting a ton of Rutgers guys. He also seemed to trust Urban Meyer's opinion, and that hasn't been the best of things. Christopher Price had a nice article on it a while back.

Meyer explains it like BB fell in love at first sight with Cunningham, but I wonder.

The only other team that Burkhead visited in FA was the Falcons.

Given that Carolina picked McCaffrey 8th overall, and there were reportedly several teams that were interested in him in the 1st round, what was the cost of using a 1R versus signing Burkhead in FA?

It doesn't make much sense that if a team can see the advantage to what McCaffrey can add to their offense and ST, that there would be limited interest in Burkhead. Maybe I'm way off thinking this ( shocking), but they appear to be very similar.

I remember both those articles
I remember the when Harry met Sally moment between Cunningham and BB unfortunately I remember BB falling head over heels for Chad Jackson and BB bringing him in to draw up plays I have no idea how he fudged his way thru it.
I also remember when Vrabel and Bruschi called Jackson out for acting up as a public event it may of been charity I can't recall yes I'd stay far away from Meyer players just in case.
