Overall there are nine 1:00 games and only two late afternoon games (though that can always change). Somewhat surprised that there are not more 4:00 games.

@Tunescribe will like that.

edit: here's the Gillette Stadium breakdown:
(6) 1:00 games
(2) night games

One downside for season ticket holders is that there are home games on both Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Aside from holiday preparations, HFA will (hopefully) be all wrapped up by then, making these meaningless games.

Been a while since we closed out against the Jets.

I'm not the type to believe in schedule conspiracy theories, but I'm really getting sick of the winter Dolphins game being in Miami instead of here with a chance of snow. The home field advantage kicks in when it's September in MIA, or December in NE. At least that means neither team gets a real weather advantage this season. Would have been some real ******** if both games were in September, for instance.
We do play them at home the Sunday after Thanksgiving, so who knows it could snow.

Meh looks like Pats/Panthers won't be on in CT if the Giants/Bucs game is on at the same time.

While I'm pissed at some of the logistics the league as forced on the Pats this season (what a shock), the bye week is a good one and there doesn't seem to be a Thursday night game (which I thought every team got).

Question: Does anyone else have to play 5 games in six weeks on the road?

Every team gets a TNF game each season. A few get two TNF games. The Season opening teams which is actually a plus as it doesn't impact rest days and the traditional Thanksgiving day teams such as Dallas, Detroit etc....

The Pats had 5 road games in 7 weeks in the 2015 season but was much more brutal imo.

Week 11 - MNF - BUF
Week 12 - SNF - @DEN
Week 13 - TNF - PHI
Week 14 - SUN - @HOU
Week 15 - SUN - TEN
Week 16 - SUN - @NYJ
Week 17 - SUN -@MIA

Monday Night to Sunday Night to Thursday Night and closing out the season with two road games was ridiculous. That was the same season with a bye in the 4th week.

If a variety of sources are to be believed, this will be the 2017 schedule:

Week 1, Thursday September 7: home vs Kansas City Chiefs
Week 2, Sunday September 17: at New Orleans Saints
Week 3, Sunday September 24: home vs Houston Texans
Week 4, Sunday October 1: home vs Carolina Panthers
Week 5, Thursday October 5: at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Week 6, Sunday October 15: at New York Jets
Week 7, Sunday October 22: home vs Atlanta Falcons (SNF)
Week 8, Sunday October 29: home vs Los Angeles Chargers
Week 9: bye
Week 10, Sunday November 12: at Denver Broncos (SNF)
Week 11, Sunday November 19: at Las Vegas Raiders (Mexico City)
Week 12, Sunday November 26: home vs Miami Dolphins
Week 13, Sunday December 3: at Buffalo Bills
Week 14, Monday December 11: at Miami Dolphins (MNF)
Week 15, Sunday December 17: at Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 16, Sunday December 24: home vs Buffalo Bills
Week 17, Sunday December 31: home vs New York Jets

Any stretch of three consecutive road games is brutal and schedule makers should really avoid them if at all possible. This one is particularly egregious because the third road game (a) comes after a short week, (b) is also the fifth road game in 36 days, and (c) is against the next best team in the conference.

The Week 10 and 11 games are poorly planned as well. Often on a long trip such as that the team would stay out west, but spending a week in Mexico may be ill advised, wanting to avoid Montezuma's Revenge. That means a long late flight out of Denver, then another long flight a few days later to Mexico City. No bueno.

Thanks so much 345 Park Avenue, I see you are up to your old tricks once again.
Maybe the pats should just stay in denver, they'ed stay acclimated to altitude and avoid any mexico city issues.

So we're writing threads to talk about something that's going to happen in a few hours now?

I want to start the The Official Game Thread is Coming September 7 Thread!

Hilarious.

November 10 @ Denver, some outlets are reporting.

man if this is all true that sucks.... I freaking hate 1:00pm games... Leaving the house at 6:30am sucks! last year we didn't have any 4:00pm games at home neither...

Caught up with Belichick to ask him about the brutal road stretch

"I don't know anything about the schedule making, I don't make the schedule. You'd have to ask the league about that."

Do you think it'd be more difficult than in past seasons?

"I don't know, we'll see."

How about playing Denver and Oakland in Mexico back to back

"I'm just focused on the draft right now."

Is this official or just some guy's guess? The 5 of 6 on the road in the 2nd half seems hard to believe. I don't think that's ever happened. I would have expected a 4-4 home/road split in each half. I'm waiting until 8pm est to be sure.

Regards,
Chris

What can you say? It is what it is.

It's 7:45 pm. I'm so excited I think I'll fast forward through the Bruins getting shut out 1-0 by Ottawa again.

Screwed them over for the Denver and Pitt games. Is anyone surprised? At least the Denver time will be after the bye, if that schedule is accurate.

Maybe I'm being thick - don't see the screw job. What am I missing?

Damn it you're probably right! Dislike x500! The saving grace was having 2x CBS affiliates here, but this game being on FOX...

Schedule is absolute garbage

holy hell

Of course, the game in Mexico against the presumed threat for the #1 seed in the AFC (Raiders) comes with a game scheduled at Denver the week before (in primetime).
