Butler thinking about a new agent?

We know who he should call.
By far the best show currently on TV. No competitor is even in the same class.

A new more experienced agent would probably help Malcolm hammer out a deal if he wanted to stay.

Maybe go for a 3 year extension for like 10m per and then hit free agency again still in his prime.

The question is does Malcolm care about legacy or does he want to chase dollars. If it's the latter, we would deal him to the Saints and then trade for Sherman who is arguably an upgrade.

If Malcolm Butler wants to stay and cement his legacy as a Patriot and win 2-3 more Super Bowl rings then I'd welcome him back on a reasonable contract for his status ie RFA.

So what's it gonna be Malcolm? Balls in your court. You'd be welcomed back but you've gotta make a decision about what's really important to you.

Question of the day ....2 years of Richard Sherman or 3 years of Malcolm at the same annual salary?

I'd take 3 years of Butler only because of the age difference and the assets we'd reportedly have to give up for Sherman, but can't really go wrong either way. I'd take either one of them over neither.

a 3 year extension deal would have him hitting FA at age 30, the precise age where willingness to pay CBs tends to drop significantly. if I'm him I either sign a 4 year deal next offseason as an UFA or sign a 4-5 year extension now for less than the market rate since I'm an UFA. He's probably too old right now for a short deal giving him 2 shots at in-his-prime money to be a viable tactic.

Butler is a better CB right now. This isn't even close.

[The Americans]...is an inferior show.
The best episodes of Better Call Saul are better than the average episodes of The Americans. That montage in the first or second episode of season 1 with Jimmy in court negotiating with the prosecutor was great. But overall The Americans is much better, and The Americans has some great episodes of its own that are far better than Better Call Saul episodes.

The problem with Better Call Saul is one word: Chuck. He's the sort of idea a screenwriter might have in first draft, to give a character some quirky disability. Later, a good writer will refine that idea, make it more plausible and less irritating. But the refinement never happened: the bad first-draft idea stayed in the script, ruining the show.

Obviously the Mike scenes are terrific. The last Mike sequence in S3E1 for instance was superb. But Jimmy constantly going in and out of law firms (didn't they do the same sub-plot twice with those?) and bickering then making up with Chuck: too dull.

It would be like, if in Breaking Bad, they spent the first three seasons showing Walt arguing with Skyler, breaking up and getting back together, without actually getting involved in his final profession. It would be really boring.

The Americans is an inferior show. No question about it. It's ok if you prefer an inferior show, but it is what it is.

It's not an insult to The Americans, by any means. It's a fine show. BCS is just that good. Better than Breaking Bad even.

The first episode of the new season wasn't anything special. If it was football they'd be 0-1.

Not that I'm necessarily disagreeing with you, but both seasons of Fargo were very good, as well. Lots of cool stuff like split screen camera angles, excellent music, etc.

Both have very high Metacritic scores (higher than BCS) which obviously include the top 50 major media publications, and both had big name actors. Even though the show isn't related to the movie, the Coen brothers also produced this, too. I'm a TV/movie snob. If it isn't over a 75 or 80, I don't waste my time.

Fargo season 2 was better than either season of BCS, but it loses some points since S1 wasn't as good as either season of BCS. If Fargo S3 is closer in quality to S2 than S1 then I'd say it's overall a better show than BCS. But it's close and this is really like debating which is better boobs or butts.

Really fun TV times lately, though. Westworld was fun if imperfect, Legion was amazing, Preacher is a blast.

I'm a V man, myself. All day long.

S3 reviews are in on metacritic (again, all encompassing--NY Times, Rolling Stone, Washington Post, Entertainment weekly, etc) and it's currently sitting at an 87. Fingers crossed for another good run, especially since the trilogy ends after this showing.

BILLIONS. Here endith the lesson.
No question. Best show on TV.

Funny how a show with all those goddesses and the most compelling character is Taylor and you have no idea what the hell she is

Billions is trash. I tried getting into it because I work in finance, but the writing and character development leave a lot to be desired.

Stopped watching halfway through season 1.

My favorite part of WESTWORLD is any scene particularly those in Episode 10 with Ingrid Bolsø Berdal as Armistice
