It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Perhaps I just don't understand because I was less than a year old when the Miracle on Ice happened, but I just don't see it that wayNo, it's not. The Miracle on Ice crushes the 2004 ALCS easily.
I remember a match when the Ultimate Warrior was completely down and out. Macho Man Randy Savage's finishing move was the flying elbow drop from off the corner rope. However, instead of of doing it once, he did five of them in a row. The Ultimate Warrior was completely destroyed. Macho Man went to pin him as a formality, but just between the second and third tap, the seemingly lifeless body of the Warrior suddenly moved. Stunned, Macho Man, picked him up to knock him around more. What happened next was epic, as the Warrior's face paint began peeling off from the sheer will and exhaustion of his perseverance. Eventually, the Ultimate Warrior regained the momentum, leading to an epic comeback and ecstatic crowd.
That's the best one I can remember.
Which it absolutely wasn't. In my incredibly biased opinion, the greatest sporting event in North American sports history was and still is the 2004 ALCS
Couldn't agree with this more. Greatest sporting event I've ever seen, biggest upset win ever.
That game was also the best finish in NYFL history. It was more of a sudden death game than an OT game. There wasn't going to be a tie.
Not sure what the disagrees are for because that series has got to be in the conversation. That was a Week long emotional event that had everything in it. Clutch hitting, pitching, base running and all of that during an epic never been done before comeback ending with the NYPD riot squad entering the stadium to calm the out of control butt hurt Yankee fans.
SB 43 was the best SB from start to finish I've ever seen.
3-0 comebacks had happened before that, just not in baseball.
No, it's not. The Miracle on Ice crushes the 2004 ALCS easily.
Just wondering if your calling it an upset because of the 3-0 lead, because the Red Sox were arguably better than the Yankees in 03 and 04
Actually I was referring to the US beating the USSR at Lake Placid, the biggest upset of all-time
I am a big football history guy and Its hard for me to say there was a better game than the "The greatest game ever played"
3-0 comebacks had happened before that, just not in baseball. I also think a series and a game can not be compared.
No, it's not. The Miracle on Ice crushes the 2004 ALCS easily.
In terms of quality of play I think 49 was better
