george blanda played until he was 48
considering the way he eats and takes care of his body and how he just keeps getting better with age
i think he surely takes that record down
tread water? What in the fack have you been watching..Anyone watching tapes from early Brady to now should notice glaring differences in the speed of the game. Watch for the quickness of play after play and the offense as a whole. I am not talking about between snaps. Now many QB's have played an entire career and not had near that. This is what Brady is struggling to keep. They had a tough time with the short stuff the past few years. Unbelievably Brady worked his ass off on it and also worked on his deep ball and actually became a better QB I think. How long can he tread water before time pulls him under? 4 years? I don't think so
Honest question about Jimmy's value. I am not trying to start anything as I really don't know the answer.I love the GOAT as much as anyone. What this man has done for our franchise, city and region Is absolute Legend. He is and will always be the Greatest to ever lace up NFL cleats.
With this said, I think we will RUE the day that we ever traded Jimmy G. We would Rue the day. Jimmy is the future and I don't want to trade him for anything. I don't care what is offered.
First of all we all know Tommy is motivated to play this game, but what HAS and will always motivate Tommy is someone threatening to take his Job. Never underestimate this. Tommy knows there's a Stud breathing down his neck and that threat alone will keep a fire lit in #12 for as long as his body will allow him to compete.
Do whatever you can to keep Jimmy a Patriot...

If Jimmy is just above average we ought to be a leader to put enough talent around him to give him a shot, I'd say, not to compare skillets but simply talent level, while he is no Brady, Garoppolo is probably capable of developing to match a quarterback like Roethlisberger or Ryan, and Roethlisberger has a ring and Ryan has the talent to win oneHonest question about Jimmy's value. What are the odds that Jimmy G ever wins a SB as the starting QB of the Pats?
I am not sure the answer, but I would put them low enough that Jimmy would definitely have a price. His price would definitely be at least one first rounder and hopefully picks over multiple years.
I guess I just don't see Jimmy's future being anything other than solid starting QB.
I wish I had the same confidence of some other fans on this board that truly see Jimmy as Steve Young/Aaron Rodgers and winning multiple SBs with the Pats (as a starter).
Thanks for input. I would be ecstatic if Jimmy developed into either Big Ben or Ryan. One is probably a Hall-of-Famer and the other may have shot.If Jimmy is just above average we ought to be a leader to put enough talent around him to give him a shot, I'd say, not to compare skillets but simply talent level, while he is no Brady, Garoppolo is probably capable of developing to match a quarterback like Roethlisberger or Ryan, and Roethlisberger has a ring and Ryan has the talent to win one
Can't keep Garapollo long enough though. It's tough call.As we get older. we decline, so it seems to me, in increments. One day you realize you just can't do something anymore. You may well feel the same overall, but you just can't do that thing. There's a mountain a mile from my house: I just can't climb it any more. Or you have some kind of setback, a minor injury, say, and you just don't quite come back from it all the way, as you have all your life until then. You're getting older. There's nothing wrong with it, and, really, there's nothing wrong with others taking note of it, particularly if your life and theirs are intertwined somehow.
When I hit 45, I was doing tree work, which is pretty strenuous, and month by month, it seemed, everything was just getting harder. That's how it goes. Fortunately, I had a degree and was able to go into teaching, which is a hard job too (and fun in its own way as well!), but you're not gonna be climbing trees or throwing logs around in the classroom, unless you're REALLY bad at your new job.
It's going to happen to Brady too, and nobody, certainly not Brady, who's not wired to concede ANYTHING, will be much of an authority on just when the losses in ability will be too much to overcome.
It's been a great ride. I think he's a great guy AND a great qb, but the end of the qb part is coming. It just is.
I'd keep Garrapolo around. I think he might be pretty good.
(Nope, I'm not Kellerman, and I can't stand him either.)
Bruce you are f'd in the head"Ivan The Terrible". It has nothing to do with the release of the ball. It is the process of getting to it. Can you recall what happened at the beginning of that season? I am pretty sure that is when he started working with Tom House. House is a well known pitching coach. Next year will be 4 years removed from that. Now try not to get all goofy over this stuff ok?
F HeadSorry to tell you that he is behind his own backup and getting farther behind every day.
Don't ignore him. He is an ass.My ignore list may end up getting full if I keep in seeing garbage like this.

That's right. I hesitate to say so, but I suspect that a year on his rookie contract and a year on franchise (expensive, I know) will probably do it. It's a tough game, and Belichick is a tough-minded guy. Can't keep Garapollo long enough though. It's tough call.
