All Charges Against Darelle Revis Dismissed

To be fair he called BB a jerk & then proceeded to get 12 million from BB.
Calling a guy a jerk is a bit different from outright saying he and his quarterback cheated.

Marqui wake up, idiot.

That's your prerogative.

Some of us have standards.

(And who says BB doesn't care about him throwing Brady under the bus during the Deflategate case? Did you talk with Belichick?)

.
I know people like Ty Law have called him worse, and have come back to the team.

Revis as a number 2 corner is feasible at this point.

That is NOWHERE near the same territory as publicly charging the Patriots and Tom Brady with being guilty in Deflategate while the league and the court system were still adjudicating the case.

Do you actually view the two different situations (calling someone a name, versus publicly leveling a slanderous accusation during a league and justice system case) as somehow the same level?

Another one who can't tell the difference between Revis calling BB a jerk and Revis publicly accusing the Patriots of deflating footballs while the league and the court system were contemporaneously judging the case.

Unbelievable.

Where do these people get their understandings of perspective?

The Fantasy Football Kids on this board really don't understand the difference.

Not if he shows up to TC fatter than ****. At this point in his career, if he still really wants to play, I'd be more willing to try him at safety.

Sign him. Never been so sure of any signing in my life! Hopefully he won't go to Pittsburgh, but that is a strong possibility.

Revis is not done yet...I've been chirping about this for months and also made a thread about this a few weeks back. He will back with something to prove, in a better scheme, and he will lockdown some players, even if he won't be single covering Julio Jones anymore.

I am totally on board with Revis coming back. I think he and the NEP will bury whatever hatchet needs burying.

To your point, depending on his belt size would also determine which safety role he might play.

I don't think he has the top-end speed anymore but if hes in the 195-200lb range he could be a DMC-light. Roam and double team the CB2 or whatever.

I don't think he has the twitchy agility to cover the slot unless its a bigger receiver

If hes shaped like a pear and 220ish then maybe he could give Chung a breather as I sure as hell don't want Jordan Richards in there.

**** him.

The asswipe repeatedly went to the press during the Deflategate court cases and publicly slandered Tom Brady and the entire organization.

May Chris Mortensen or Mark Brunnell marry into all your families. Doesn't anyone here have a spine anymore?

People who stand for nothing will fall for everything.

And a bunch of others don't understand the entertainment side of football. Revis in New York is going to cater his yapping to Jest fan(s).

This, too, IS BUSINESS. If there's a problem between Revis and Brady, or Revis and BB, then sure. But please, athletes get smacked around all the time by competitors/the press. It's just business.

Then you should never criticize, Goodell, ESPN, Brunnell, Marshall Faulk, Chris Mortensen, etc.

According to you "It's just business".

Except of course that I'm not in that business. Players play to their fans. It's part of their job.

Rocket Roger hated the Yankees, until he pitched for them.

Revis thought BB a jerk until Kraft signed the checks.

If you want to exclude anyone who ever said something bad about the Pats from the team, then fine. It's really BB's decision.

So when Kraft stopped signing the checks the QB and team became a target again. How is that "entertaining"? Maybe to 31 other fanbases it is but it clearly isn't to the players NOR the fans of the Pats.

We already have clear examples of where coaches (Patricia) and players (Amendola, Gronk) fall on the Deflategate situation. And it isn't just a natural acquiescing of the punishment. It's an outright repudiation. You think they don't feel the same about Revis? Please.

How exactly would they do that without Revis apologizing in public for what he said? That could be his only way in AFAIC. Otherwise he can jump in a damn lake.

For the vets' minimum?

**** Bill, sign the beast now!

Just the thought of us repeating and the reaction of rats' fans.... marvelous scene.

He ain't no damn beast. In 2011-12 perhaps.
