A real sign of the apocalypse would be when I started taking Skip Bayless seriously.
This video sums up Bayless to a tee. Mark Cuban calls him out for not understanding basketball and just speaking in vague generalities. Regardless of what your opinion of Cuban is, he is dead on here.
Honestly, do yourself a favor and watch this video. I saw it live (for some reason) years ago and I haven't looked at Skip the same way since. I love when Cuban asks him how the Mavericks defended LeBron and Skip vomits all over himself when answering. If you watch a lot of sports media, it shows you the difference in how team personnel view the sport vs how 'analysts' do.
I love people like Mike Lombardi and others who know the game, but people like Skip, Cowherd, and the rest of the Hot Take talking heads do the public a disservice when they conjure narratives that have no basis in reality and aren't supported by actual sports knowledge, but are often adopted by fans who also don't understand the game (i.e. Steelers fans).
Seriously, watch this video when you get a chance, well worth your time and also hilarious.
ETA: I just watched it again, I think I'm going to post this video any time someone starts a thread on this board about Skip, just so you guys can mentally prepare yourselves.
