Well, I don't know about this strategy..
Lombardi seems to be right again.
One should always remember where he came from .. and who made him..

Saints have less than 16M on cap space. If Butler is indeed looking for "Gilmore Money", the Saints will need to move some pieces aroundCould see an agreement with the saints for the return of pick #32.

Hell yeah! Sign me up for #1 overall!Sign High and let Butler go play with his buddy in Cleveland
Not sure how Butler's agent is being an idiot here. His client is a RFA so he is trying to find the best deal for his client and seeing who is willing to pay the price. The worst they can do is say no.Kind of feel bad for Butler because his agent is doing him no favors. No team is parting with a 1st round pick to give him Gilmore money or else they would have just signed Gilmore.
But just so people are ready for it if and when they can't find a team do that Butler's idiot agent will likely advise him to sit out as long as he can without it effecting his UFA status. So could be very possible Butler doesn't play until I think week 9.
But the two clubs can negotiate a different deal ie Wes Welker in miamiIf Saints give him an offer it would be for the Saints pick which is #11..

Stupid question, but can't we keep Butler and still sign him to a big contract? I don't understand how the RFA tender thing works.
