I ended up catching quite a few Bills games and he was very inconsistent. Decent plays followed by a lot of bad ones and penalties.Cooks got great skills, he might be our future Edelman replacement, Gillmore had a good year last year, but I prefer Butler, I wish we could keep both for at least another year and give TB the chance to go out there and pick up #6.
Hightower in my opinion is important signing, but Butler holds equal importance! Makes me shiver looking back at the days where our corners sucked so bad...

I feel he's far more athletic and could be better than MB with coaching, but MB has a heart in his chest the size of Texas. He's scrappy, comfident, and plays the ball like Ty Law and Revis. He's not as lock down as the two were, but his ball skills are on their level. I want him on this team more, at this time, than Gillmore, even though I feel Gillmore has a tad more upside.
I'm drinking the Kool- Aid, though. Bill is the coach. I'm just an average Joe fan. I'll never coach or play in the NFL, though I'd make a kick-ass comentator. I wouldn't even try to hide my bias.
That's true, but that hardly means what I said isn't, especially considering the Pro Bowl is a popularity contest that means very little actually. Revis made it in 2015. He was already showing signs of decay then. Love made it during a season when he missed most of the first half. And I could list a ton more examples.Except that Gilmore was pro bowler last season.
Exactly.Posturing
I struggle to see how they have a plan for him when they have been dangling him as trade bait for the last week.

Stumpy, I agree about him being top level. I even say in my post that I think he even has more upside than Butler and potential we haven't seen. Rex tried to recreate the Jests defenses that had Revis and Cromartie and he left those young corners out to dry. Bill won't do that. If there's anywhere the young Gillmore can reach his full stride, it's here with BB and Matty P. So we're not in disagreement at all really.Fair enough, but he's still a top level talent. And we've made it by with far less.
If Rowe can get his penalties a little more under control then we're sitting pretty. I still don't think we've seen the last move or guy brought in.
Probably a lot easier to see, since I'm not laboring under the delusion that the defense 'got stomped'.Um, i was at the game. Pretty sure i got a closer view of it than you did. How was it on the big screen?
