TEs doing the dirty works makes me happy. This draft has a lot of talent. ton of YAC potential with the speed and style. we can pick up another aaron hernandez without murderous impulse.

guys we should keep an eye on -

david njoku - sounds is a supersized hernandez who can block and runs like running back. great YAC guy. this guy is considered a 1st rounder. if he's there at 32 then we should pick him up.

OJ howard - ran 4.51 at 6ft 6 250lb. that's impressive. he's a freak. dude's been the beast for bama. if we have 12th pick maybe we can grab him up here. or trade down and get him at 15-20 where he's projected to go.

evan engram - ran 4.42. we could really use him like hernandez. this guy is faster than AJ green at 235lb. he could play multiple positions. 2nd round would be ideal.

jake butt - as reliable as it gets. he was considered 1st round talent before he got hurt. he doesn't give you YAC, but he's reliable and smart. if he's available in the 4th, we should go get him.

also guys like everett who i heard is a flat out stud. bucky hodges is supposed to be good.

look at these combine numbers. just very impressive throughout.

They will have to use a first to get either Naomi or Engram, Howard would take a top 10 pick. I agree though that there are great opportunities to bolster TE in this draft.

I'm not interested in any Hernandez comparison type guys. Bennett might have been limited by his injury but he still blocked well and made some tough catches. THAT is what I'm interested to trying to get. There are more important needs that have to be met in the first 2 or 3 rounds. (DE, LB, DT, CB) I'm OK with a TE pick after that.

Adam Shaheen is my binky here with a pick as high as the Comp in the 3rd. He's got the size and heft to be an excellent blocker and from his highlight reel looks to be very nimble and athletic. Definitely would need some time to develop, but has better long term potential than a lot of these "Hernandez" types.

BTW- if you are just talking about a receiving prospect, Njoku would be a great pick up, even in the first, BUT at what cost. Njoku would be a great LUXURY to have, but the 'needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." ;)

None of these guys have played a snap in the nfl I think people should calm down on the notion that this draft is stacked with quality TEs.

I think we double dip at TE, DE, LB, and Safety this draft.

This is a perfect draft to double dip at Edge and TE.
I'll be stunned of we don't. Butt is a lock end of third if he is on the board. And would love for them to take at 32 whoever they have at top of second tier behind Howard and Njoku.

This is the year we get 2 1st round picks because I think a trade for JG definitely happens, I also see us getting an edge rusher in the 1st and maybe an inside linebacker.

We still need a better center, since Andrews in my opinion is just not good enough when it comes down to the run game to give our backs that extra push on a regular basis.

I'd look for a safety, tight end and corner in the 2nd and 3rd since many 1st round talents will still be available in the 2nd.

So we shouldn't pay attention to the draft anymore?

I agree that they are all just prospects but gauging which of them will and won't become good players is a big part of the fun of the offseason. Imo it has become too metric centric and I don't follow it anywhere near as closely as I once did but it's still an enjoyable process for me when I have the time.

I'm with the TE/LB/DE crowd!

You should get a load of all the Fantasy Football kids in the Brandin Cooks thread urging Belichick to use our first rounder on a WR......

.

my favorite thing about your post is how you embedded that google sheet. learn something new everyday. definitely going to use that trick in the future.

Adam Shaheen is my binkie too, but George Kittle has same measurement as Njoku and he is terrific blocker for his size. Check him out.

Njoki is a stiff. Just say no to drafting him.

If Howard makes it to #32, bb will jump over over him, otherwise we grab someone in the fifth and hope gronkowski is healthy,

Shaheen or Kittle please.. before the combine it could have been both..

Lets get a player with knee problems in the draft who also won't be able to participate in camp or his rookie season at all at a position where we have annual injury issues. Profit...

The TE draft is so deep that I'd rather take a shot at a later round talent than get someone who has to redshirt his first year because of an ACL.

I would like them to take either Jordan Leggett out of Clemson who has comparable measurables to Gronk when he came out or Bucky Hodges out of V-Tech, who needs work as a blocker but is a good reciever and can line up everywhere on the field.

Bennett is probably leaving and Gronk has had too many injuries and surgeries, I think is worth getting one of the top TE's in the draft at 32 if we get another first for Garopollo that would be used to trade down or get a stud defensive player. If no trade then I think the #32 must be used on defense, but TE is kind of a need.
