2017 NFL Combine Thread

Uhhh it's so overrated. They don't even run in pads. Anquan bold in ran a 4.8. He's still good enough that 1 out of 32 want him. And Super ran a 4.52. That's fine

I agree. I like him as a wideout. He can also test better on his pro day. He had lousy QB play.

As captain of the Zay Jones cheerleading squad, I am shocked he measured so big, and ran so fast.

I honestly didn't think he would hit the Pats prototype size (6'2 203) or speed (4.45), but he nailed both.

Hansen on the other hand, was quite a bit slower than I hoped. Thought he was clearly faster than Jones from tape, but that's why we have the combine.

I was surprise by his speed as well. He play's for a system where the wr number's are bloated up. I still don't think he's a first rounder. More second.

4.22 is official.

Did anyone see the simulcam of Ross v Julio and Beckham? Had a two yard lead on them at the forty. Should be careful not to raise Ross' stock too much because his speed is already being factored into his grade but some teams will look at that and salivate.

Weird that the 4.22 is official. Johnson's line looked like it was in the lead when they showed the simultaneous run. Still, good for him. Hope he goes high and pushes someone else down to us. Still plenty of skill and speed in the mid-rounds. I want a defensive difference maker in the 1st round.

If you watch that simulcam, they start Johnson's line ahead of Ross.

As you know, I'm quite happy with offense (Njoku, McCaffrey*0but don't think we need a WR.

* For now, those two and Howard are the only offensive guys I'd take in the first.

Robert Davis was more impressive coming from a small school. A 41 inch vertical leap. Could be the first player from georgia state to in the first round.

We want (to see) Shaheen! We want SHAHEEN!

His story on becoming huge is hilarious:

Adam Shaheen bulked up on Chipotle to become an NFL prospect

So many athletes struggle to bulk up for the next level through brutal diet & training regiments...he ate burritos.

Totally agree.. Shaheen has grown into a binkie with pretty impressive measurements and scores.. but might be too risky as a pick given the resources needed to get him.

Anyone dare to project where he might get taken ? I'd say at this point a safe day 2 pick..

Notable VJs

Njoku - 37.5
Shaheen - 32.5
Hodges - 39
Howard - 30
Engram - 36
Everett - 37.5
Kittle - 35
Leggett - 33
Roberts - 30
Saubert - 33
Jonnu Smith - 38

This class is wow. For references sake, only three jumped 35 or over last year.

Might depend on what he runs. Low 4.7s and a second rounder for sure.

Switzer is another guy I like.

One great 40 away from the inevitable comps and a GM falling in love. As a small school player I feel his 40 may be one of the most important of any player at Indy.
