Sad thing is, these are the people who usually *do* get selected for jury duty. It takes a special type to be so clueless about the murder which was a huge news story that went beyond the sports pages.

Ray Lewis killed a guy, Goodell aquitted him. That's all I understood from this thread.

"Sad thing?" For crissakes, ideally you want people who know nothing about the case on juries.

Yes but what kind of bleeping moron who lives in the local area doesn't know anything about this case??? It was HUGE NEWS, even beyond the sports pages.

To you and to me it was huge news. But, those for whom it was not huge news are automatically "morons?"

This broad may be onto something...

Its frightening that there are people that stupid who serve jury duty and decide the fate of people's lives lol

In the case of Hernandez, that's an obvious slam dunk.. but man

To any intelligent human being living in the extended Boston metropolitan area with even a slightest clue as to what is going on in the world around them, it was huge news. It dominated the media cycle for weeks. Helicopters were swirling around Hernandez' home providing live coverage on all 4 networks.

Sure, many citizens don't care one bit how it impacted the New England Patriots' 2-TE offensive schemes, but the story itself was literally impossible to avoid for any individual who so much as glances at a newspaper or puts a radio on in the car.

In our world, yes. In everyone's? Not necessarily.

It made me think of the O.J. documentary. One of the jury question was (paraphrasing): "Will your life be negatively affected from a sequester lasting several months?" I mean, seriously, what kind of person can answer "No" to that question??!?

Gimme a break. It was major local news outside just the sporting world. Your sad denial of that fact does not change it.

OK, Goober, whatever you say...

AH was responsible for Defamegate. He could have killed a clown.
