Hightower: 2 SBs, 2 NCAA Titles. Has anybody else done this?

Played for maybe the best college coach and best NFL coach. Browns had both and got rid of them...

EDIT: Should say they didn't fire Saban, but they didn't win anything with him.

Decision making hasn't really been a strength for the Browns has it? It probably goes back to when they named themselves.

"We'll name ourselves after a colour. Gold? Nah. Silver? Nah. Midnight Blue? Nah. Not Brown surely? Perfect!!!"

Anyone know? Fair to say Hightower is a winner.

So he has not been on a loser in some time. When you are that use to winning it may make it less important to some players or you take it for granted. Just a thought.

Saban left to be a HC, the Browns didn't get rid of him. You don't need to exaggerate to make fun of the Browns.

Or it makes you more intent on staying a winner.
Winners don't get satisfied when they reach a quota.

Get ready for people on this board to claim that was never good when he leaves in free agency.

Those people would then go in a list of people whose opinions are worthless.
Hightower is an absolute beast. He can do everything a LB does. if BB was one of those coaches that would put Hightower full time as a pass rusher he would probably lead the league i sacks. He defends the run as well as a top 5 LB and plays the pass well unless he is isolated on the sidelines one on one with a guy 70 lbs lighter.

I would guess that if we could sort comments by date between 9/1/15 and 1/15/16 that included "Collins", "Butler", "Hightower" and "Jones" most of those comments made especially after Jones' sack and FF at the playoff game vs KC......would rank Hightower more times than not 4th out of 4 in terms of importance of paying up. How things change in a year.

How about comments from after Jones showed up at the police station?

Speaking of Hightower. I haven't heard anyone mention this but on that play where he hit Ryan and caused the fumble. The fact that he extended his left hand was critical. If he doesn't extend his left hand to hit Ryan's wrist before the ball was released, that would be an incomplete pass and a punt. Really heads up play. I wish more Patriot defenders would go for the ball in certain cases instead of going for the tackle/sack. Bruschi was very aware of that when being around the QB and it can make a huge difference, as it did in the SB - that one play could have been the difference between winning and losing.

I assumed you knew and were trying to be funny. Saban was Bill's defensive coordinator in Cleveland through 1994 and left to become Michigan State's Head Coach.
