Broncos reportedly don't want Romo; will Cowboys QB end up with Jets?

Could this actually happen? Slim chance, maybe, but...

...I'm rooting for it. :)

IF he can stay healthy, that's a big time improvement at the QB position for the Jests. That's a big if, though. My guess is he would be done for the year by Week 2 and we'll see Geno coming in and firing picks on a frozen rope.

Could Romo work his magic along with the Rats' own hilarious history?

Romo once sacked himself for a safety, while the Butt Fumble is legendary.

Maybe Romo can somehow butt fumble using his own butt, while being in the end zone.

We could have the Butt Safety.

Report: Tony OhNo expects to be cut not traded

Rumor has it Romo will agree not to go to Washington and other unspecified Cowboy rivals if he is released. This is of course, against the CBA. ;););)

Getting cut means it won't cost his new team draft picks. Romo really wanted to go to Denver since they have a SB chance - Jets are way down his preferences.

Even without his injury history, no team should consider trading for Romo based on his contract and cap number.

Which means that it makes perfect sense that the Jets will trade for him.

Can't blame teams for not trading for Romo, the Cowboys can't keep him on the roster if they want to be competitive next year. I don't know what his cap numbers are if he gets the boot.. But the boys have no leverage and any idiot knows this. So wait for him to get cut and then sign him for 1 year deal.

Tony Romo playing in an outdoor stadium? Lul....
He came even stay healthy indoors.

It could actually be fun to have a 'big name' QB in the division.

We've seen those circumstances fizzle out before. Remember those brief stints when Favre and Culpepper were in the division. If memory serves me well, Brady never got to face them in a divisional matchup.

Romo to Minnesota? That could be interesting. They are my dark horse candidate.

Dead cap hit of almost 20m, but they still save 5.1m.

Tony Romo trade, free agency signing could be a career-ending mistake for a GM

In other words, that other QB from Eastern Illinois is a better risk.

Teams that might take a chance on Romo? Here are ones that have a need, but some might pass on him:
  • Cleveland
  • Bears
  • 49ers
  • Buffalo
  • Texans (realistically as good as it gets, now that Broncos are passing)
  • Jets
  • Vikings
Agree with the author, Romo is going to have to settle for less money for no more than two years.

Please make it happen so we can see Petty in Week 2 again.

USA Today...yeah not buying it.
