Man the emotion during the comeback was awesome! I really felt it even knowing the outcome.

Felt great to read it. Thanks for that all!

I reread it this morning. So much fun.

Agree.
But if you start reading before the Strip Sack (around page 143), you'll just start putting a lot of posters on your "Ignore" list.
Let's just say that "adversity doesn't bring out the best in everybody"...and leave it at that to be charitable.

And, even then, after the Falcons make that big play (~40 yards) on what turns out to be their last possession, many start to jump ship again.

i was so dissapointed by all the threads that were being started in the MIDDLE OF THE SUPERBOWL about blowing up the team etc

honestly to the point I'm thinking Ian needs to put a temp stop of making new threads during actual game times...its all the non believers coming out of the woodwork saying stupid ****

and it happens like EVERY SINGLE GAME

i don't want to read your sorry ass, non believing, faithless BS, its an embarrassment

would i have put money on the Pats down 28-3? no, but did i ever lose hope we had a chance to win? of course not! its BB and Brady, there is ALWAYS a chance...i just couldn't see the successful path forward, but BB could, and he walked it

so seriously @Ian i would be 100% behind a stop to making new threads WHILE a game is being played

I will go back and read the thread, as I was just too nervous and pacing around my living room at 2am to keep up with it at the time.

I have however already read game day threads on the broncos, colts, ravens and jets forums. Shakespere was decent, but he couldn't write a tragedy or comedy like those threads.

I'm also going on a Super Bowl game day thread binge from other team fan sites. It's been very entertaining so far. I haven't read our game day thread yet but I have it bookmarked for last. Seeing all the haters celebrating and laughing and then seeing their joy and souls crushed and obliterated by the Pats yet again is heartwarming.

I read it for the first time today too and got chills reading the last 20 or so pages.

Would someone mind posting a few links to some of the more entertaining Game Day Threads from other forums?

Thanks in advance!

My favorite was the guy who kept posting "HYPER POWER" when things started cooking. I was lurking on the thread watching the game and that was a great comic relief.

I get that the game thread is usually Overreactor's Central and annoying as hell at times for a lot of folks, but for me it is now a staple - it helps me to remind myself I don't have a serious emotional issue considering my own typical reactions, and has saved me many dollars in saved costs for TV remotes and such that previouly would occasionally go flying around my den ...

Havent read Pats one, but read jets, bills, falcons steelers, broncos, ravens, fins, seahawks, colts....most at the end had a few fans giving credit to Brady BB and Pats.

How did I do ? I was nervous lol
From what i can remember you were one of the people that actually believed the Pats could win this game down 25 points

That game day thread makes me wish there was an 'Albatross' rating that tied unfortunate posts onto poster's sigs. Mitchell and 'Dola would have been cut/traded, Scar and McD given their walking papers, and Jimmy G would have been in for the 4th Quarter.

Big props to our resident Saints' fan @pherein for a lesson in faith that many could learn from.

ETA: I was actually trying to figure out how to link to pherein when his posts appeared in this thread.

wow thanks, so nice man. I dont think any pats fan ever really gave up. I felt alot team spirit. Our Faith in the boys came from losing for 45 years, and is still kept strong by watching our defense take the field every season lol.

ITs just nice that you guys allow us Saints fans to be a part. We are very grateful.

I really hope you do better next year. Would love to see Brees getting deep into the playoffs again. Also excited for the game against you, which should be a good one.

In retrospect I wish I had started a Comeback Thread when we were losing 28-3. No Chicken Littles allowed. That would have been one of the greatest threads in PatsFans history

I can't be on the computer or phone during the game though, takes me out of the moment.
