Is this the greatest super bowl you've ever seen? I'm hearing a lot of people saying this is the greatest super bowl ever. To me, this one is certainly up there but Super Bowl 49 is still number one. But I will say this was easily the most epic. I counted the pats out going into the 4th quarter. Shame on me, I should have learned my lesson by now. I'm still in a state of shock. I have to pinch myself every so often because I can't even believe what I witnessed last night.

This Super Bowl is definitely up there for me although not number 1. Where does it rank for you guys?

EDIT: sorry for not clarifying, I don't just mean in terms of pats super bowls but in terms of ALL super bowls that have been played, all 51 of them (or at least the ones you've seen).

after 40+ years of watching football, I'd say this is the best game I've ever seen.

No not the greatest but the best comeback. Honestly it was not a well played game for much of it but most games with 25 point come backs are not often well played throughout.

This makes top 10 for sure but just so many sloppy plays. 14' imo is still the best game front to back though.

Rank this as a game or favorite Pats Super Bowl win?

If the latter:
1. SB 36. The first one will never be topped
2. This one!
3. SB 49
4. SB 39
5. SB 38

Not the best game, but for me, the most astonishing and the most important! Belichick and Brady all alone at FIVE! Wow!

This is the best by far. 25 pt comeback in the superbowl? Down 25 with 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter? The deficit was twice as large as the previous biggest comeback. This was also the first OT game in superbowl history.

This was Brady's Montana/Jordan moment. This was the best game for me.

You expressed it perfectly. Thank you for saving me some brain strain on a day I want to savor :D Best 4th of all time?

Ranking 5 Super Bowl victories

Let me say that again because it sounds so sweet, I'm going to rank FIVE Patriots Super Bowl victories.

Here's how I put them.........

1.) SB 49
2.) SB 36
3.) SB 51
4.) SB 38
5.) SB 39

That was extremely difficult. The only selection that was really clear cut was SB 39, and that was due mostly to the lack of drama that the others had.

I couldn't put Super Bowl 51 as the top spot because let's face it........the game was UGLY for 3.5 quarters. While it was certainly the best comeback and deserves it's own merit for that, I can't consider a game in which I wanted to throw up for 3.5 quarters my favorite (even though obviously I can rewatch with a different perspective).

For me, 01 will always be the greatest.

No question this one was special. Down 28-3........I still can't believe it!

The sweetest of them all!

This one was just shocking...I am still kind of surprised!!! As far as where this one ranks, I would put it slightly behind Super Bowl 49, just because we waited so long for that one and it was just unbelievably dramatic....Last night was again an amazing feeling!!!

This was the best. It was like an epic movie where it keeps building up to a tremendous climax from being as low as you can go. This was not a roller coaster ride it was climbing Mt Everest.

I place it, as a Pats fan, at NUMBER ONE. It was not only the stupendous 25 point comeback (in the last 17 minutes of the game) but the historic significance of it for the Pats, BB, Tom Brady--and for us, the fans.

And let's never forget the dramatic aftermath of the game with Brady hugging the turf in deep reflection, Blount and BB joining him head to head. The incredible job of all those Pat fans who made the trip and came through in a huge way by totally drowning out the Commish, (who said Pat fans are too polite and quiet?)--and finally Tom's acceptance address which was spontaneous, very moving... (his mother and father there) and his looking down at the trophy "We're going to bring this sucker back to all of you."

This has gotta be the best. Such a deep hole to come out of.

Tom Brady- Nestle when its crunch time.

This would rank 2nd after 2001. 2001 is a permanent number one for me. Nothing will top the experience of the first one.

In order:

36
51
49
38
39

Man, those games were all epic (as were the last 3 losses. XX was just a disaster.)

This is number 1 only because I was too young to truly appreciate Super Bowl 36.
