Chris Simms Grilled on Boston Radio – Calls Patriots Fans “The New England Mafia”

I had the Kirk and Callahan show on for a few minutes this morning, but that was long enough to hear Callahan ask Simms why he thought Brady was guilty in Deflategate. Simms gave three reasons: (1) "Murphy's Law," (2) Brady's press conference, and (3) Brady's destruction of his cell phone. Callahan had to ask, "You mean the 'Ideal Gas Law?'" Simms is the kind of idiot that Patriots fans have had to put up with.

When I read that Simms talked about "Murphy's Law" affecting the air pressure in the footballs, I assumed he was trying to be funny.

You mean to tell me that he really did say it incorrectly?

Holy cow. This dipstick is trying to educate everyone about the scientific equation that he can't even name?

Wait, he actually said that? He's only barely more qualified than I am, and I played basketball.
They should have me on. I can throw a wicked good spiral with a nerf football.

Still salty about his short lived coaching stint with NE?

How dare you besmirch the good name of the greatest judge of quarterbacking to ever set foot on the earth.

I consider myself a die hard NFL fan. I remember the Fearsome Foursome. I saw Roman Gabriel play in person.I loved Tucker Frederickson. I could go on all year relating these bits of memory data. Honestly, I cannot place this kid Chris Simms. I don't think I ever saw him on an NFL field. Of course I heard his name thrown around for a couple of years, like I did Todd Marinovich and Jamarcus Russell. I saw Jablubbaguts Russell a few times, Marinovich too...but this Simms kid, nothing. He must have been a total POS only in the league because of nepotism. Riding Daddy's one big moment in the bigs.

I was at the game in Gilette in 2005 v the Bucs and this pos was Q/B. Pats won 28 to 0. Well worth the plane trip.

Patriots offered Major Applewhite a contract. Simms?

I thought the New England Mafia were the Italian and Irish mobs...

You learn something new every day...

If those 3 points are the cornerstones of Simms reasoning, then even idiots could outthink him without much effort.

Murphy's Law/IGL proves nothing happened, not the opposite.

If someone is using shaky answers from Brady's press conference as "proof," then they need to acknowledge that everyone was thinking at the time that the false "11 out of 12 footballs" story was true. If the real measurements were known, then you would have seen a better defense from the Patriots.

Think of it this way: You're accused of robbery and it's leaked that your fingerprints were found at the scene. You know you didn't do it but you don't have a good explanation about the fingerprints. Everyone thinks you're guilty because of the fingerprints and your uncertain answers about them. Weeks later, it comes out that the fingerprints story was false and there is no evidence you were involved in the crime. Someone would need to be extremely stupid to think you're still guilty based on the way you answered questions about false evidence.

Finally, once you consider that points one and two are invalid, then the phone is irrelevant. How could it contain evidence of something that never happened?

He recites his upbringing as if it's proof of his expertise, when what it really is is proof that nepotism in the NFL is a real thing.

If he was such an expert at QB evaluation, why did he waste so many people's time trying to be an NFL QB? Such an expert should have been able to tell he had none of the tools needed at the level needed, right?

It's clear as day that this guy has an issue with Tom Brady and it's personal. I wonder what it is. Tom didn't like the coffee that CS got him one day?

I think it's funny he presented himself as the authoritative voice on quarterbacks. LOL

Murphy's Law is to the Ideal Gas Law

As Chris Simms is to an NFL* QB.

Hey Chris, it isn't Brady's fault that you sucked as an NFL QB.

It's a sad statement that mediot on mediot violence gets so much of our attention...

To hell with Simms, Minihane, Callahan, the whole lot of them...

I listened to part of this in my car.

Had a bag of hammers in the passenger seat.

After a few minutes, bag of hammers turns to me and says ..."Man, this guy is an idiot."
