For me draft pass. The super bowl is a great emotional experience. With the draft pass you will learn more about the behind the scenes than you ever would otherwise. I would take the 2nd.
so you would rather watch a draft over a superbowl game? LOLOLOL you are really over thinking it.

Super Bowl, hands down. But I get why others would pick the draft pass. I just find BB the coach more interesting than BB the GM. It's why I pretty much stay out of the draft threads. Just not my thing. YMMV.

Regards,
Chris

The draft room would be boring. Just sitting around all day? No thanks.

Basic logic and reading comprehension really are at an all time low. What a bunch of random, logic-free crap you spewed out there.

Let me say it again this time with more emphasis:

The Superbowl is a superior experience at home surrounded by friends, my kitchen and a toilet with no waiting time.

Nobody is arguing here that they want to see the draft rather than the Superbowl. The point is that many here rather want to have an insight and a chance to have a discussion with BB & co into how the greatest dynasty in this game is being build than sit in the stadium in Houston for something they can follow on their giant ass TV comfortably at home as well. But you know what else I can do at home ? I can just turn around and high five most of my friends after a play. Who do I get to celebrate a play or even the win with in Texas ? Maybe one more person if I am lucky enough to get to bring another one in this hypothetical ?

In other words, the gain from being able to watch the SB live in Texas is small compared to what you would learn from BB. It is not about the draft, it is about access to whats going on behind the scenes that is enticing.

Just put some effort into reading what people say instead of just write drivel like that.

Don't be so butt-hurt about it, luuked. I'm not the world's biggest in-person fan, I don't have the foam finger, I don't have 30 other fans I tailgate with, I'm not the "fan's fan," etc. I truly do believe that it would be nice to get these insights from BB & co., and you could do so to the extent that he prioritizes hand-holding a fanboy over any important work that would go into the draft. Or what, would you get a telepathic headset along with the all-access pass, so that he can draft at the same time as you following his thought process?

And actually, given it's BB... he could walk you through it through the last pick, pick by pick, and if he's not on sodium pentathol, you got bupkes.

If you were in the seat watching Malcom Butler intercept that Russel Wilson pass, that is the truth.

You can tell me how logical it is until the cows come home and make more and more stipulations, and I am glad to cede you every logical point you would like. You would rather learn more about BB's draft strategy than see the Super Bowl live. Well fine, I'll take similar stipulations and get the seat right behind the patriots bench on the 50 yard line with that super sensitive hearing aid I saw advertised on late night TV and I would have my own personal "miked up" show. Ha.

Then I'd know exactly what they were calling and when in-game, and all I would need is this game's secret decoder ring to know what the hell is getting audibilized at the line.

Eating Dinner > Shopping for Groceries.

It's still Gitmo for you.

Off to the ignore list with you and your incomprehensible drivel for a while..

It's definitely a tough question. On one hand, it would be awesome to attend a SB in person. The festivities & socializing before hand would be awesome. The idea of possibly watching your team loss is scary. I cannot imagine how Patriots fans felt walking out of SB 42.

Draft would be an education experience. Nothing "bad" could really go wrong. Would be cool to see the team go to work behind the scenes.

All in all I'd take SB.

It's a legitimately intriguing question. I would love to see the Super Bowl in person. Incredible experience. Yet it would be over after a few hours, and then I'd only have stories to share.

But, as others have mentioned, enough money gets you SB tickets, but I don't think any fan has ever had the chance at a behind the scenes look at evaluations, trades, drafts, etc. The closest we get is the season ticket holders Q&A each year, and a few highly edited draft room videos. I would absolutely jump at the chance to learn more about the game from the all time greatest evaluator and resource manager. What an amazing opportunity that would impact the way that I watch college games and evaluate the draft and free agency. Priceless, really.

Didn't want to start the war here .. just curious how PatsFans Sophie's choice would play out.

Big part of Pats truth is the draft. Its not a fantasy thing. Although it does seem a mystery to many how can one team who shops crumbs for 15 years cook a delicious dinner every Sunday .. to pursue @Va analogy.

And Draft is not just about the picks. Its about evaluating hundreds of young football players & men. Its about love and respect for them by investing so much time in getting to know them and evaluating them best as possible - for mutual benefit. Most players who never played for BB have a lot of respect for him because they know he invested a lot of time and love to get to know them the best he can.

He did that with Butler as well. Seeing Butler's unlikeliest play in person is the truth. Understanding how that was possible is the truth as well.

You got a funny icon for "Pats Fans Sophie's Choice."

I understand the draft junkie point of view and we're all draft junkies by March. I also understand that the two are not unrelated. But consider this another metaphor: most people just love whatever their computers do for them.

Then there's the guy who just loves how they built the computer.

Meh, dinner and groceries was better. Just saw SB 49 again last night... Brady must have been on X, telling everybody he loved them... but best moment was him finding Butler and saying...

"Malcom! Are you kidding me???"

To be honest I missed the part about being able pick any seat I wanted when I responded previously. I was thinking of the one experience at a Super Bowl in seats just beyond the back of the end zone, but still on the sidelines. Frankly watching at home in the living room would have been preferable.

Being able to sit on the fifty yard line behind the Patriot bench changes the equation immensely.

I wouldn't want to be near those guys draft day. Way too much tension.

You didn't start any war. I just grew tired of that guy's schtick about making fun of people that are excited about the draft. I am somewhere in the middle when it comes to that where once football season ends I read up a bit on prospects and am curious to hear the opinion of others. But there are so many very insightful and knowledgable posters in the draft board (e.g. @manxman2601, @Wilfork#75, @reamer, @Off The Grid and everyone else over there that I forgot) that I don't care for his belittling words and can't stand them.

Ultimately we are all interested in the fortunes of our team on the field but having a chance to see "how the sausage is made" sounds amazing to me. In the end, how much more satisfaction do I gain from being at the Superbowl compared to see the same thing at home with family and friends ? I'd rather have memories of celebrating with all those close ones than with randoms in the stadium. So it really is an easy choice..

Hey, thanks, Bro!!

If I got either, would consider myself a very lucky man..

Superbowl, 50 yard line pats bench.

I don't usually watch the draft anyway. I have a feeling that if I'm in the war room, I'd be, "don't you dare trade that pick bill!!!!!!!!"

What a great poll. I've switched back and forth a couple of times and I could be talked into switching again. I 'settled' on the seat at the draft. As great as a 50 yard line seat at the SB is, it isn't the once-in-a-lifetime experience that being in the war room on draft day would be. If I had to pay I'd probably pay more for the war room seat.

I can't believe some picked the draft. to me that's nuts. it's the Superbowl without thinking twice about it.

So let's try thinking twice. Here's my take:

Would I rather have the best seat to watch something that I and 100 million other people will watch anyway, or be the unique witness to something that none of us could ever see or even know about any other way?

Would I rather have something that's already available to purchase for $5000, or something that can't be had by anyone for any amount of money?

that is some serious spin. you should go into politics lol. its the superbowl.
