He's also trying to keep Le Bastard in check:

I'm surprised that story line hasn't got more play here, but then again, it's mediot on mediot violence, so...
I was listening to this live and it's amazing to me how uninformed he is on the whole thing, yet was speaking to a national audience as if what he was saying was a fact. It's no wonder the majority of people think the Patriots are cheaters when people like that are continuously allowed to just throw false crap out there like its fact.

I love how people hold it against us that we had a tight end who killed people, when WE CUT HIM AS SOON AS WE FOUND OUT ABOUT IT!

Thank you! People make it seem like "Aaron Hernandez" is a sort of mic drop on Pats fans. Do they also blame all GB/MIN fans for Darren Sharper's rapes? (Hint: nope.)

People should not blame fan bases, owners, or executives when their players turn out to be criminals. It's ridiculous.

The Murray Gell-Mann Amnesia effect

I've posted this quote here on Patsfans a few times, but I think it's worth posting many, many more. Deflategate should be instructive to every Pats fan as to how little the media ecosystem can be trusted. There is no effort to be factual, only to be first in telling people exactly what they want to hear. People want to believe that the Pats are cheaters, so that's what they're being told by a horde of ignorant idiots who neither know nor care if it's actually true.

I could kinda get it if any Pats fans were supporting him or declaring his innocence or cheering him on or claiming the Pats were wronged or anything like that. But since the day Hernandez was released, I've never encountered a single instance of Pats fan doing any of those things. We all just acknowledge he was a horrible person and that he deserves whatever happens to him, and that's that.

Dan Le Batard is a Miami guy; if we want to start comparing the things individual players have done off the field, his team will not have any high ground there.

The French translation of his name is all you need to know about this cretin.

Good article by Hurley though.

Ever see or hear anyone blame the Panthers for Rae Carruth's crimes?

Absolutely. That is just something that bugs me everytime while talking to fans of other teams. "Well you guys had a murderer"....as if some crystal ball was invented that BB apparently hid that allowed him to see both into the future and into The Prisoner's head. Just absolute stupidity.

Actually in my defense, it was on in the office I work, so didn't have a choice and lets just say many coworkers seem to like hearing this type of crap lol

Haha if I worked in your office I would never get anything done because I'd be arguing about the Patriots all the time!

You don't have earbuds? I bring my phone/MP3 with me everywhere just in case an office have something on I'm not interested in. Armed and ready, lol

Oh trust me it happens. lol

unfortunately between the phone and employees, customers etc coming in and out I don't get to enjoy that luxury that often, but surprisingly this week hasn't been too bad besides the Lebatard show that day, its actually been mostly positive Patriot stuff, so I'm sure if that goes on much longer, they will turn it off. lol

"The Patriots are a terrible organization because they couldn't read minds and didn't follow their players around 24/7."

We feel horrible about it! Nobody is defending him. But we also did the right thing, immediately. There are other teams that build statues of their linebackers who murder people.

Also, I am proud that there has never been any domestic violence issues on our team, at least not in the Belichick era. Say what you want about Kraft, but Myra certainly made sure that we would never have to knowingly root for a man who beats women. That means a lot to me. If we had signed Greg Hardy I probably wouldn't have been able to watch any games.

But we get hated on way more than Dallas, Baltimore, Giants, Chiefs, or any other team that enables domestic abusers. Those teams are celebrated for having an 'edge' or are given leniency in their punishments because their owners are friends with the Commissioner. Go figure.

Not only that, and I believe this is huge, the Pats released AH immediately which basically forfeited up to 37 million in Cap damage AH ultimately created.

IF the Pats had waited until AH had missed any playing time because he was in Jail the Pats could have cut him and his Salary using provisions provided by the CBA but they decided to cut him immediately.

Patriots release Aaron Hernandez, take salary-cap hit

The Pats did file a grievance to recoup some or all of the AH cap losses but I'm not sure how much they have recovered.

@Miguel has a blog following the AH cap situation.

Patriots recently received a $1,184,000 salary cap credit for Aaron Hernandez

My point is that Pats chose the toughest Salary Cap path when immediately cutting AH and they knew it but wanted him gone ASAP.

Like most of us on this board, I believe in science and hard evidence. The science of the "Witch Hunt" and the evidence (and lack thereof) is all I ever needed. The "cellphone = shiny object" diversion was ridiculous, but, incredibly, it fooled a large percentage off the national audience. Where to go from there?

Well, this article does not rely on science! Instead, it shines the light on Goodell!

What I absolutely LOVE about this article is how the author simplifies it down to:"Goodell deliberately lied about Tom Brady and thought he could get away with it." The proof is in the public record for all to see. It is clear. It is precise. It is complete.

The author repeats the key statements over and over, apparently hoping that the morons of the world will comprehend what has transpired.

What a world we live in!

Go Pats!

You don't want to hear Shannon "Donkey Teeth" Sharpe's take on Hernandez. It's sickening.
