I don't think Schefter has a great Patriots source, but I also don't find this to be too much of a surprise either.

Makes sense. He's been limited in practice, Floyd is a weapon, and Amendola adds more on special teams. It will be interesting to see what they do next week if they win without any injuries and Mitchell is practicing in full, since Mitchell has been really good this year and it would be hard to sit him if healthy.

Too bad, but at least this year we have other good receivers to make up for the loss.

I was thinking about that earlier too. We lose Gronk, and at least we have Bennett. Last year, we had Dola and Jules, LaFell was battling injuries all year, so we had to bring in KeShawn and even Chris Harper got to play. Now we might have to sit a really good receiver if they're all healthy.

Game over.

damn. wouldve rather have him over floyd just because he has been in the system and built trust with brady.

Better to give him another week and have him healthy for next week since, either way, we'll see a tough team coming in here. Again, to agree with @convertedpatsfan, it's a good problem to have when you have to sit a talented player because you have enough talented players around him to allow you to do that. Certainly a nice change and they're fortunate to be in this position

Bad fortune for MM. Good kid, hard worker, does his job, contributor on offense. Hopefully his injury is alright come AFCCG.
For the Patriots it appears the loss will not be felt much based on MF and DA out there. Brady does not lack for targets considering JE, White, Lewis, Bennett, Hogan, MF, DA and even Develin and that new TE (forget his name) can be in for a couple of targets. That's quite a list of proven passing production. So if the OL does it's job the points are gonna come...

It's incredible, isn't it? What a reversal of fortunes.

Then you think back even a couple of years further to when the WR corps was Jules, Dobson and Thompkins...

Im ok with this, I loved the Floyd signing not only because of the upside of the move but also because even though Mitchell has been great, when it comes to playoffs, experience is a good thing, you dont want to throw the game ball to a rookie and maybe mess with his head if he drops or become a diva if he makes the catch.

Yeah we have enough weapons the first question is who's healthy

He's not, then we don't need him out there

I'm disappointed for him. He's had a great season and has clearly worked his ass off. Hopefully he's good to go pending a win.
