Boycott Tomase WEEI

I'll bet the Jets still have tapes of Pats signals from the same game BB and Pats got busted for.

I would love someone to ask Mangini that question one day. He seems apologetic enough to answer it honestly.

It's a known fact that the Jets were doing the exact same thing as the Patriots. Both in that game and in previous ones. They were reported to the NFL and nothing happened..

I heard of them taping before the memo but during that game. But I have no doubt that they were taping.

I thought the Jets were fined or the camera was confiscated while doing it at Gillette, which might have been partly what drove Mangini to pounce on the Pats at the Meadowlands.

Yep, from what I remember, when the jets were taping from the wrong location at Gillette, the Patriots told them to stop. But when the Patriots were taping from the wrong location in Jersey, Mangina went running to goodell

You guys live in New England, I don't. But this is what I think you should do:

1) Get as many WEEI office and executive phone numbers as possible and flood them with protest calls. They're owned by a company called Entercom (Entercom Communications) and seem to have some relationship to Disney.

2) Collect the names of local sponsors, get their phone numbers, ideally marketing or ceo, and tell them you're boycotting them as long as they are advertising on WEEI (any show) as long as Tomass is getting air time with them.

3) Use this site to start an online petition to send to WEEI management.

4) If you're really committed, use the internet to start a lunch hour picket line at the station's headquarters with signage.

I don't live in the region anymore, but I'll sign the petition.

As mentioned, the allegations about the Patriots taping the Rams walk-through has come up on a couple of occasions recently.

That's why the OP put up the pictures of the Herald.. To show that they had apologized as they were wrong.

And as Ivan mentioned, many owners believed it to be the case even though the tapes that the league got from Matt Walsh proved to have nothing on them..

As for Tomase. That POG was a reporter for the Lawrence Eagle Tribune and he sucked then. I was so glad when he left.. but when I found out he went to the Herald, I swore off reading them..

Got it. Thanks for the clarification.

Also, thanks to the OP for those headlines proving that it was reported to be false. That clearly didn't get nearly as much 'play' as the original story since I didn't even know that it was proven to be false.

The Pats told the Jets to stop, but didn't report it to the league or the NFL Security. Nothing happened to them.

tomase's your classic liberal *******. can't stand him
It's perfectly OK for you to have your political opinions. What isn't OK is for you to inject those opinions into your posts on this football board, which you do all the f###### time. Hell, most of them are about 5 syllables long with no capitalization or correct punctuation. Who gives a flying #### if Tomase is a liberal, conservative or anything else? What matters, and what we all know, is that he's an ***hole and god knows we've all seen enough of those in the past year both, liberal and conservative. Take that crap to the proper forum on this website. Christ, you're relentless...

Thomase still believes that his story is correct, but that there was not enough real source to print it was the only actual problem. He apologized bitterly in his mind believing it 100% still. Many in the media are of that opinion (Marshall Faulk)..... That Pats got off on a technicality. They do think they filmed it.
EDIT:I just wanted to add that this is NOT what I think. I am just saying what I think Thomase thinks
Well, if Marshall faulk says so...

I still think BB's interpretation of the rule was defensible, otherwise why is the phrase "used during the game" there at all?

I distinctly remember Goodell saying that he didn't believe BB's explanation, while Goodell DID believe Rex Ryan's and Mike Westhoff's explanation that they were not aware of the coaches lining up in a gauntlet on their sidelines in the Tripgate investigation.

Interestingly, Mike Westhoff's defense was "the Pats do it too", so apparently he was able to recognize an identical activity on another team's sidelines while being completely unaware of it happening on the sidelines of the team he actually coaches.

So it all came down to selective enforcement of these two issues, based on the subjective viewpoint of a highly biased arbiter.

That's a great point. My favorite part of the way the NFL handling that was the NFL letting the Jets conduct their own investigation for a week before looking into the matter. Amazingly, the Jets were able to find a replaceable fall guy during that time to take all the blame and claim none of the coaches had any idea what was going on. The league was satisfied with that explanation and never dug any deeper to find out why a strength and conditioning coach would think this up and implement it and how no one else noticed. I'm sure teams like the Saints and Patriots would have liked that kind of treatment from the league.

Tomase and his fat f-ing a** should have been tar and feathered. Then strapped to a horse and ran out of town. Scratch that. Not a horse, a nearly dead diseased donkey.
Someone should photoshop his fat head onto Logan on Westworld, in that scene when he was on the horse naked and sent running off into the sunset.

What is that picture supposed to be showing us?
It -looks- like #50 is about to tea bag whoever the downed Pats player is.

The thing I don't get is why these guys re so afraid to out their sources when their sources screw them. I wish one of these spineless reporters would grow a set of balls and just once out the league office.

I still haven't figured out what sports talk radio is good for, in a general sense. If there isn't a player or coach on the program, I don't care. I don't understand why anyone cares what these people have to say.

He's awful to listen to as well, every utterance oozes of condescending smugness. unlistenable...

OK. Don't google for that. Quite disturbing. Yikes.
