Nike or Adidas. he's walking distance from work. I stayed in that hotel last year, easier to walk through Patriot Place than drive. No need to leave for food either.Uber is happy too!

Actually his salary is $7.3 million but Pats only were responsible for 3/17 of it which is where the $1.29 million came from....( Edit: He is a free agent next year and his current salary is $1.29 Million)
I'm thinking after yesterday the Pats may not need another prove it deal, that's this year. I'm hoping they lock him up with a better long-term deal than anyone else will offer, protect the team with behavior clauses and conditional guarantees. Looks like he's bought in, need to get s baseline to see. Maybe offer to sign him one year while they work on a long-term extension, just to make sure.I'm not sure Floyd will get a big offer from another team regardless of how he plays through the playoffs.
Just because a player behaves himself on the Pats doesn't mean he will do the same elsewhere, and teams will take that into consideration.
He still will likely be suspended to start next season, and he has red flags.
For next year at least, I expect the Pats to be the most likely spot for him as a 1-year prove it deal, while catching passes from Brady, will be the best way to reestablish his value, and maybe BB will try and get him for longer than that if Floyd likes being in NE, and is willing to give a home town discount and not try to break the bank, while accepting behavior clauses in his contract.
Plus IIRC Hogsn has another year on his contract. Definitely want to see them re-sign Marty! It would be great if Floyd could fix whatever issues have been troubling him and sign here, at least for a one-year deal. Between him, Edelman and Mitchell the core of the WR corps would be pretty good (and extremely physical). Would be even better if they could re-sign Bennett to support the TEs in case something happens to Gronk again.
A WR corp of Edelman, Hogan, Mitchell, Floyd and DA would be both a deep and strong WR unit. Certainly a deeper one than we've ever had here, including 2007. With Julian and Danny getting up there, we'd need to bring in another young player to continue to develop. We need the next guy to follow in the Brown/Welker/Edelman role.
Think about it. Last season Edelman went down and the offense stalled, and certainly wasn't the same even when he came back. If we had those 5 guys in here we could easily absorb one loss and get by if 2 went down. That's pretty good depth even before you get to FA and the draft.
BTW- The best kind of a deal for Floyd would be to allow him to have is FA year all over again. That would mean giving him the possibility of making $7MM again next year. So what would be fair would be a $1-2MM guarantee and about 4MM in likely to be made incentives if he has something like 800 yds and 8 TD's, and another 2M if he goes over 1100, and/or makes a probowl, and/or gets over 10 TDs, and of course plays in a vast majority of the games and a certain percentage of snap.
If he gets to $7MM, he makes resonable money for his situation, and has a clean start in FA for the really big money. If he has another year like he's had the last 2 (7-800yds 6TDs) then he's going to get paid what he's worth (arouind $4-5MM) and we can move on still better for the experience. If he totally sucks, then it was worth the $1-2MM risk. You can't win them all
You can tell the guy loves it here....because this is his Twitter description:
9 exclamation points!!!!!!!!!
hope they all make him feel at home here and he decides he wants to stay long-term.On a more serious note .. yearning/grasping for new places, new opportunities, being wanted etc. spell lots of insecurity. Hard road ahead of him and his .. Hopefully guys like Marty, Mitchell, Slater can show him the way
If he ends up finishing up just like the last game he'll wind up with 12 catches and 160 yds. Hardly 10MM/yr numbers. However they would be great for us.i dont know...if he made 7M this year total, I expect he wants that to increase w/ time, will be looking for that or more next year, and all the years following
I'm not sure if 4-5M covers it. Ive lost my bearings w/ the cap moving up as it has recently, but I think getting him for 7M/yr might be minimum what he is offered in FA
and i do believe if he plays in postseason like this last game, he will get interest from other teams

He was probably a free agent target for the Patriots anyways, and the chance to bring him in early and test him out was worth the money alone. The potential comp pick is worth the money alone. The potential impact in the playoffs is worth the money alone. Heck, his performance in the Miami game is more than some guys on the roster making comparable money have done, and so that was worth the money alone.
Whats Dola's cap number next year isnt he getting expensive for a guy that isnt really in a featured role? I love Dola but he never lived up to his $ IMO. Had some huge moments for sure but overall for like a 4th option he is well compensated.

That $7 million was fully guaranteed before the Cardinals had any idea of how awful he'd be this season. He was supposed to be their 1000 yard #2 receiver, and instead he gave them 410 yards and another DUI. I don't think anything over this next month can make up for the disaster of a contract season over the past four months.i dont know...if he made 7M this year total, I expect he wants that to increase w/ time, will be looking for that or more next year, and all the years following

And certainly more YAC too...He certainly made some great contributions yesterday. Just think, he already has caught as many TD passes from Tom Brady as Ochocinco has.
