Lets start with some great Reiss Sunday Quick-hits .. that have some pre-game implications as well
(and to economise on threads)

From hotel to stadium, WR Michael Floyd keeps it simple with Patriots

Some interesting backstage on Floyd, Brissett, Garoppolo, Lengel and the importance of C.

.. and particularly on health:

8. Belichick often says that nothing is more important than the health of the team, and he has to be generally pleased with how things have unfolded in 2016. As ESPN.com NFL national writer Kevin Seifert pointed out, the Patriots are one of the healthiest playoff teams. Some of that could be attributed to some program changes, but when I asked fourth-year cornerback Logan Ryan, he cited player commitment as what stands out to him the most. Ryan said there is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that no one sees (e.g. hot tub, cold tub, salt tub acupuncture, etc.) and that he has seen a more across-the-board buy-in this year in that area, especially from younger players. He pointed to how veterans Martellus Bennett and Chris Long are constantly working on their bodies, and how others see that and follow their lead.
_

Lets hope it continues ..

No doubt. Gonna see more Blount today I presume.

A win and health would be excellent. We have zero depth behind Blount for what he does (unless you're Jeff Fisher, then you may disagree). Gotta get another quality runner this off season.

id rest everyone. look at that ****ty field!!

Interesting to see inactives list.

I guess there are 5 clear inactives: Amendola (i), Cy Jones (i), Mitchell (i), Brissett, Waddle

The 2 other usual suspects would be Foster and Coleman but the absence of Danny, MM and Cyrus could put them in backup roles.

The most interesting thing would be about receiving corps. They would probably like to manage the snaps of Julian and Marty but without 2 WRs, one PR and with only one real receiving TE in Bennett this will be difficult unless McD repeats last years gameplan ..

Hoping for no injuries today. That field is absolute ****. They're actually patching up the field three hours before kickoff. And this is supposed to be a multi-billion dollar industry.

And they just had a bowl game there. Thanks schedule makers. Dumbasses.

Nothing like some good "should they play their starters" talk on sports radio this am.....

Between the 3 hrs delay and a swamp pitch .. not exactly a Happy New Year for BB

Crappy surfaces should get teams fines and multiple violations should strip draft picks.

Agree more with this than any post I've seen all year. This REALLY pisses me off.

You wanna talk about player safety? Few things impact that like a crappy field.

You wanna talk about competitive balance? Majorly affected. Pats would've likely had a bunch of packages with both lewis and white. Now their game plan is altered due to the home teams negligence. Pure ********.

That big ass seam in the turf looks scary to me.
