Most drunk drivers don't get into accidents or even get pulled over.

Depends on HOW drunk. 0.21? If you are so drunk that you literally PASS OUT while driving, it's hard to imagine a really good outcome. In fact, stopping and putting the car in park just before you pass out is about as good an outcome as you can get when you are THAT drunk. He was lucky he didn't pass out when the car was moving.

should lose his drivers license at a minimum and should be suspended from the NFL. He is lucky he is not in jail for 30 years for driving into a crowd of people or something. Feel kind of silly that all people have been talking about was whether he can field punts.

Figure he was dressed and out the door for the team bus at 530pm ET.

Best guess is the charter flight back to PHX was at 630/7pm ET as they just ride right up to the charter.

MIA > PHX is a 5hr+ flight. Lets say he played it conservative and had 7 drinks on the plane.

He lands at ~9pm PT time. Figure hes drinking again at 10pm

He was pulled over at 230am. Figure he had his last drink at 2am.

So in the ~4hrs from the time he landed to when he stopped, he had another ~9 drinks.

Q: Where the hell were the coaches and teammates when they saw him pounding on the plane?

I think the guy needs proper help, he clearly has a drink issue and needs to seek help more than prison time where it's harder not to be intoxicated, you might as well finish the guy right there sending him to prison. Alcoholism less not forget is an illness and Yes, alcoholism it makes you do stupid stuff.

Reading the story it's actually quite funny, but it's also a reminder that your not in control of your actions when intoxicated.. whether it alcohol or drugs or in this case both.

Reminds me of the Ray Rice tape. People were all up in arms way more than they were before the tape came out. Like they didn't know what punching a woman in the face and dragging her unconscious body out of an elevator looked like

A pardon is the last thing in the world that would be good for him. Give him a pardon and within 48 hours, if not sooner, he'll be bombzoed at a light on Route 1 at 3:30 am.

Agree, but as I suggested.. sometimes your actions when your out of it are not coherent or of sound mind. as I alluded to in that piece. I'm not saying he should not be punished, I'm saying he should not be thrown on the scrap heap and forgotten about like so many are. Let's face it when it comes to health the NFL is shown lacking in its regard. Josh Gordon.. when it should be helping its employees who put their lives on the line when they play football.
