Michael Floyd DUI Arrest Video Shows Him Passed Out at the Wheel (VIDEO)

So it takes a ****ing national task force and six months to get video of someone hitting his wife, or find out details about domestic abuse. But this took about a week for a video to go public. #Priorities

I know it wasn't necessarily the NFL that had anything to do with leaking this tape (I'm not sayhing it wasn't). But doesn't anyone else find it fishy that when it is the Patriots **** leaks immediately?

I think it was leaked and the Cards & NFL Security enabled it.

I think Goody is going to lay down the hammer on this guy and show how tough he is on drunk driving.

Video of recent Patriots pickup drunk coincidentally released on same day as another NFL team skirts free after most serious rule breaking since the Broncos cheated the salary cap?

Check..
Quite the coincidence isn't it?

Driving at 143 mph is more irresponsible than DUI (unless you're driving under the influence at 143 mph lol) that's not a speed compatible with roads and highways. One should reach that speed only in a speedway, at that speed a small stone on the highway is enough to cause a disgrace.

Yep.

TMZ vid was at 3:48pm

1st tweets on Giants penalty were 5pm

Giants news might have been in Section D in Arts & Entertainment

Yeah, our visiting Jets poster is making an ass of himself with this one.

Floyd is going to have to watch his actions now that he is a Patriot. One more eff up and Goodell will ban him for life.

I've lost two friends in separate incidents to drunk drivers, who both walked away from the crash. Drunk driving is a tough one. It takes premeditation to NOT drive drunk; in other words, taking responsibility to make sure you're taken care of beforehand, or just drinking with friends at home. Not taking those precautions isn't the same as premeditation to drive drunk, because by the time it comes to make that decision, your judgment is already impaired.

I'm not necessarily in favor draconian rules for drunk drivers. Some people here think they should be dragged out behind the chemical shed and shot. And believe me, I've thought that way sometimes, especially after my second friend was killed while driving home to his wife and kids from a late-night shift he was covering for someone else. But emotional reactions don't make for good policies. I believe the penalties, whatever they are, need to be firm but, more importantly, CONSISTENTLY applied.

The guy who killed my friend was on his fourth DUI. Really? That's the problem right there.

The same punishment as anyone else. If it costs him more because he had more to lose, so be it.

It almost sounds like your suggesting that the rich or popular should get to pay for their crimes with money or public humiliation instead of facing legal consequences.

Which crimes/violations should get what punishment? Society/elections/legislators handle those decisions.

You lost the moral high ground when you defended Richardson's actions, or tried to bring some sort of moral equivalence as to why what your guy did is so much better than what Floyd did.

You lost credibility when you said speeding at 80mph is the same as 143mph.

Yeah, I know, you're trolling. Whoopie.

We know in this situation Goodhell will probably throw the book @ Floyd and the Patriots I say a Six Game suspension reduced the Four Games. Still Floyd still could give the Patriots a discount one year prove it type deal...win win either way and he still have much to give us this year.

For me it was his 'Child Endangerment is No Big Deal' point of view that made it obvious this guy is trolling and/or not playing with a full deck. His subsequent post boasting of his "BUI" made it official.

Eh, his punishment is the team he's a fan of.

Yep, and I get it. It's got to be miserable to be a Jest fan, and people love having shared experiences, so it makes sense that he'd try to make everyone else as miserable.

That's cruel and unusual punishment if I ever saw it.

What I am wondering is why people speculate that Floyd has an alcohol issue. In the NFL he got suspended in 2011 (over 5 years ago !) for a DUI and then there were the issues he had @ ND when he was in college.

That's an awful long time in between to see an alcohol abuse pattern. Is there more offseason stuff about him somewhere in the media or something else ?

To me this video actually makes him look better than original reports. Obviously he's intoxicated (and probably drugged too) but for a drunk person he was VERY polite and obedient.

When I read that he was charged with "disobeying a lawful order" I had assumed that he was arguing with or fighting with the police at the scene but that wasn't it at all, that charge was for refusing the breathalyzer which I feel should be a persons 5th amendment right to refuse anyways.

are you 16?..sound like a loser

You're just pissed you didn't think of using a breathalyzer to pickup chicks at the bar.

They seriously flock to ya.

There was a thread on one of the Cardinals forum that I was reading that goes back to October this year and back then there was some talk from fans that he might have a heavy drinking problem and the reason for his poor performance this year was because he was probably suffering from withdrawal on game days (essentially had the shakes if you've known any alchoholics that can't even write their own name straight without a drink first). NE will love Floyd - Page 6

Yes, this is what concerns me. Suddenly with the Patriots involved this is going to become a big issue. Suddenly the NFL is going to become **** freaking tracy and is really good at talking to Police, tracking down leads, and finding out all the details of a case, getting all the relevant video evidence.

It is ridiculous.Maybe if they did that with the recent domestic abuse issue they would have 1/10 of a jot of credibility.

I'm not saying what he did was ok. I'm saying the reaction to it better not be disproportionate. I'm saying that the release of the video footage this soon is very strange. I'm saying that if the NFL suddenly becomes competent and thorough in its investigations (unlike with domestic violence and other teams) then something is definitely fishy.

Basically...F Goodell.

Yes I'm being a bit paranoid, but this is just strange.

My new least favorite Patriot. I hate the spineless dui laws in this country, that should be jail time and long-term loss of license. No excuse whatsoever to get behind the wheel in that condition.
