Game over for rest of the league: Brissett is back

Why use the roster spot at this point?

His 21 days are up.

IMO, at this point there's no question JG gets traded this offseason. They've seen it worth their while not only to keep Brissett around when he was on IR, but to also waste a roster spot.

My guess is either Richards or Coleman get the ax. Maybe Coleman as Richards contributes on ST, but who knows how his knee is now.

Watching this kid in TC, in PS, in a couple of games where he was thrown in prematurely, and then simply his comportment on the sidelines and in the locker room I can see why Parcells has said Brissett is the real deal.

What jumped out at me also is his throwing motion. It's Brady! He throws leaning forward over the top like. Jim Palmer pitch. Jimmy G is more like a Drew Bree's slinger from a lower arm slot. I would imagine the Pats WRs see the ball coming at them more similarly when Jacoby is throwing than when Jimmy is.

If he continues a slow and steady apprenticeship I can easily be optomistic with Jacoby Brissett taking over in 3-4 years.

While it'd be nice to see JG get some reps against the Dolphins (week 17), I doubt it would change his value much and there has to be a few teams willing to put some money up to give it a go. Probably not Osweiler type of money, but enough to make it hurt if it doesn't work out. Bet, O'Brien wished he could get the kid in his system.

So, due to Brady's suspension, not only can the Pats get a higher return for Jimmy, but because of Jimmy's injury, they've already had 2+ games in which to evaluate their rookie QB. And the Pats are currently the number one seed.

Meanwhile, at 345 Park Avenue...

I'm sorry folks but I fail to see Jordan Richards great value to the team. Slater, Bolden, Ebner, Jonathan Jones and others do what he does better.

Seriously, he was a 2nd round pick!

Every time I see him on tv (which is rarely) I see Jake Bequette.

On a more serious note, they sound like they think very highly of this kid. Very Big Ben like in play style.

The same is said of the mortal Blake Bortles (((Ducks out of the way))).

Yea hes an nonathletic Tavon Wilson.

Bottles is playing now. Brissett still will get at least 2 more years of seasoning on the bench. Notice how BB has had him on every road trip while he has been on IR. That tells you everything about how B.B. Is treating his development.

Jacoby will never be better than Jimmy, trading Jimmy is trading our future away, Jacoby is all hopes and wishes, Jimmy is the real deal
Per your logic we must lock up Jimmy long term now and say goodbye to Brady after next year. You may be right but I don't see that happening. If Brady thinks he has 5 more years then he probably has at least 3 more good years.

Shmessy, I couldn't disagree more. I watched him closely in training camp, preseason and his limited game action and he's very inconsistent with where he releases the ball in addition to having a wind-up that needs to tighten considerably. I don't know how much of his problem with mechanics has to do with processing information in the heat of battle, but Brissett is very raw as a passer. He has a strong arm but lacks touch. He's pretty much a work in progress with key selling points being arm strength and coachability. I'm surprised to see him activated; maybe they have plans to give him reps in relief if the Jets and Miami games are blowouts.

Interesting take. I've kinda seen the opposite with his throwing motion. Seems like he has an elongated release and is more of a gunslinger. Don't get me wrong, I really like the kid and think he has a solid future in the NFL; I just don't see the Brady throwing motion. I actually see Jimmy's throwing motion being closer to Brady's

Don't get me wrong, he seems like a great kid with a wonderful future on the real world. Very bright young man. I wish nothing but the best for the Jake Bequettes and Jordan Richrds of this world on their journeys to becoming successful CEOs.

I just wish BB would quit drafting them in the upper rounds and take up roster spots for several years.

I was being sarcastic I really like the Biscuit and think he could be something down the road with hard work on his part.

He kinda strayed away from what they had been doing which was draft 1st rd talent with issues in the 2nd round.
