Sorry you got me with that one this time.. I guess I read too many stupid takes on BB in the past months..
And there we have it lmao

If I were to stack rank them...

Tom
Joe Cool
Young
Rodgers
Favre
Drew

If I was forced to play an entire game with one QB, it would be Tom. If I was forced to pull the starter and play the backup in the 2nd 1/2, I'd pick the Joe Cool/Young combo.

"...yup, never seen a team as dead as this one..."
"get three coffins ready"
"...my mistake, four coffins..."
"...well, I guess your fans will be happy to get their old logo back..."

And you don't want to be here when they do?
"you mean, all the traditional, classy, genuine fans with some semblance of taste on one side; and all the Kraft/Bledsoe/Flying Elvis worshippers on the other...and me right smack in the middle?
....Noooooo thanks. Too dangerous. Well, see you at training camp..."

Adios

For a second, I thought this was @oldrover who wrote this lol

The Patriots were 5-13 in Bledsoe's last 18 starts, including 0-2 that season.

No, he would not have beaten the NFC Champions.

Bledsoe was the starting QB of a SUper Bowl team. Bledsoe was very good up until 1997 season. He did become a sack machine, but he was better than everyone gave him creadit for. No matter how revisionist history there is around here, Belichick did start him as #1 in 2001 with Brady as #2. And no one on earth knew at that time Brady was going to be who he became.
I don't think its revisionist history as much as being about people not making the distinction that Drew Bledsoe was a good QB in a system that was inherently not a good fit for his particular skill set. That made it very difficult for him to be the best QB he could be.

So could he have won that Rams game? Sure he might have. He was a QB who had won a ton of big games over his career, but if he'd had been the starter, then the offense would have been different too, as well as the play calling. So many different variables that is it really possible to do more than guess, with no way to prove your opinion?. Or in other words, a kind of pointless mental excersise, eh?
