Pats claim WR Michael Floyd

Not sure I want to see him cost snaps for Hogan or Mitchell, but I'd love to see him take snaps from Julian for health reasons.

I don't think he will. He has to learn the playbook. He could be a solid decoy as well. Lol

lets see how fast the NFL slaps a suspension on him or when....I dont trust the NFL.

Some posters are saying this is expensive. Does he somehow keep his existing contract numbers from the Cardinals even though he was cut? Or can the Pats pay him whatever?

He was a waiver claim, so yes, the Pats assume his existing contract.

With Gronk out and Amendola down, we needed depth. We'd be screwed if we lose another receiver. Whether or not you like this guy, he's a veteran with a lot of catches for a lot yards in this league. We want to win a SB, right?

Considering this is his last year on the contract and we are almost done with the season, anybody saying it's too much money is a fool.

Zero cap implications

It's just Bobbys money so who the hell cares? Hope he gives them SOMETHING.

Zero risk here

Also if he does well than he might take a one year deal with the pats to get a bigger deal.

According to the cards boards he's had a case of the drops and a propensity for throwing up on the sideline, presumably hungover .

Of course, once a player is officially gone from a team, for any reason other than retirement, fans like to overemphasize the negatives. One of my personal favorite things to do as a matter of fact. In my recollection welker had a 100% drop rate in the postseason here being that I only remember one particular pass and he dropped it.

I kind of love the move. If he can get it together the upside is there. With Amendola maybe out for the season I am really eager to give the guy a shot.

Cardinals offense in 2015 was #1 in yards/points led by a WR trio of Fitz/Brown/Floyd. Should we really blame him for Palmer taking one of the biggest nosedives in the league? Not everyone can be a great sport like Fitzgerald.

Still can't believe a guy of this talent will be facing nickel/dime CBs come playoff time.

Likely won't see him against denver. Maybe against the jests.
I'm still thinking that this move was made for the future, since they can take a flier on a tremendous talent in a "buy low" period.

Personally, I think he can try and work hard in an attempt to contribute to the post season since there's a two week bye, etc. Even then, I wouldn't expect much in 2016.

Gotta like this move.........the Pats always seem to be riddled with injuries with their receiving options so nothing to lose here. He's certianly better than other guy available.
