Idle Thoughts - the "Christmas comes early" edition

He's not a slot guy, though. He played outside at Bama, and he's played outside here. Here's pretty solid, the one sideline catch notwithstanding. Still, he needs time to correct his issues without being on the field. It's very tough for me to watch, because he was one of the guys I didn't like in the draft, but was certain we would take anyway. I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt, but it's frustrating to see him play poorly. Hope he improves.

He did look better in the slot so far, quite competitive last game IIRC.

So, he has 52% completetion rate? That's pretty bad actually.

Brady has been locking too much on him and he hasn't really been great this year.

My concern is that it's not a great catch ratio. He's missing a lot that we're used to him making.

Maybe he's not the Swiss bank some always expect of him but he's still the #1 chain mover on the team and one of the best and most consistent in the league. For my taste as well TB is forcing the ball too much to him (esp. w/o Gronk) but he wants to move the chains and thinks his buddy is still the best option. Denver game is the best test to see how this is addressed.

My main thought after the games was

"Tom MFing BRADY!!"

Holy schitzki the man isn't human!

I am very fortunate to have witnessed his magical career!
I actually put Flutie in the same category of magical abilities and being a winner

Now don't attack me!!

3 turnovers by the Pats vs. 1 by the Ravens.. that should led to the Pats demise.

IMHO a safety should be considered a turnover. Especially since it literally IS one.

And on top of it all. Ken didn't have to miss Madame Secretary on Sunday night!!!

(We kid because we respect the legend that is Idle Thoughts!)

Yes and no. Yes, they put pressure on Brady. But stupid, stupid play by Brady to make that throw. Pressure didn't stop him from just eating the ball. And it didn't stop him from throwing it away. He chose to throw it into double coverage. There are virtually sure points on the board in that position. He has to go into the play knowing he can't make a turnover.

When he threw that ball I saw the ghost of Drew Bledsoe.
