His stats are not eye-popping enough???

22-2, 68.5% comp, 2876 yards
I guess the standards are pretty high around here! I've often said Brady is a victim of his own success.
Brady won't win the MVP, due to the four-game suspension, but he, nor anyone around here should really care because it's not the regular season MVP he or we should want. GO PATS!

The 4 game "suspension" only underlines why he IS the league MVP and should be every year. We know all you outlanders actually believe the horseshyt deflategrate idiocy and use it to mock a truly GREAT sportsman and even better human being. AFAIC all of you azzhats can FOAD.

I agree with you, but I do not think Brady will win the MVP because there will be voters who will not vote for Brady because of the suspension. I'm not getting my hopes up. If all Deflategate does is deny Brady an individual award, that's a pretty hollow victory for the Commissioner and his co-conspirators.

My MVP race is 3 guys. Brady, Elliot and Rodgers.

Rodgers has come back into form recently and has had a very strong 7 or so game run. He leads the league in TDs with only 7 Ints and really is carrying his team. However they NEED to make the playoffs.

Elliot is obviously in it but when RBs win they need to be super special. Elliot is having a very good year but not a special year. Still he deserves mention and can win with Brady/Rodgers slips.

Brady can win it but he probably needs to hit 30 TDs with 3 or less total ints and win the last 3 games. If he does that he makes a very good case with a 10:1 TD/Int ratio that would break his old record.
While I'm sure TB12 couldn't care less, if he is to have a shot at MVP not only does he need to hit the stat milestones you outline but they need to get to 13-14 wins.

As other have said, He's the victim of his own success. Just like BB. He deserves CoTY big time this year but it'll most likely go to Delrio or Chumly Reid

The suspension won't hurt his chances much but the team going 3-1 during it might.

But I look at the other candidates and don't see anyone standing out. He is in the conversation for sure if he keeps this up. He obliterated that D last night and voters will see that. If he does the same against Denver then that will certainly raise eyebrows.

Denver. A Patriots win there would be a knockout punch as far as their playoff chances go. That would be sweet. I anticipate a big running attack in Denver - they're 29th in rushing yards allowed and 22nd in rushing TDs allowed. Blount, Lewis and White should have big games.

So, who would be your frontrunner right now then?

Also, do you totally remove guys like Derek Carr from consideration? Same for Prescott?

Right now I have Rodgers assuming he makes the playoffs. As another poster mentioned Ryan has an outside shot and could do it but both Rodgers and Brady need to falter which is unlikely.

Brady though can take is from everyone but I can't put him in the lead yet as every game matters so much to his case. It is hard to say a guy is in the MVP lead after 9 games after all. If Brady finishes with 8 more TDs 1 Int and 850 yards with 3 wins then yes he should get it over everyone. 11-1 30 TDs 3 Ints 3700 or so yards. Clearly the best player this year.

Also Carr had a case but i think the finger has slowed that down and his worst game came in the 100% must win game of the regular season for them. Prescott is not in the MVP race. Good year but if anyone on that team should win it is Elliot.

Just to clarify the strange PI throw by TB ..

yeah he had a bad game. but the raiders dont win 10 games without him. he came back after breaking his finger vs carolina and let them to a win. that was a tough game. if it was brady we would be lauding the toughness. there are a lot of games this yr in which carr has come back in the 4th Q .And he has a defense which is dead last in a lot of categories. One game shouldnt be held against him , everyone has bad games.

For those who care .. its gonna be between Zeke and Tom

Wonder if he tried to overcompensate for the previous grounding call. Otherwise why not just throw it towards the sideline ?

He likes to watch the ravens jump

I wonder why no one is putting Rodgers in the MVP convo. He has a good chance too.

Personally I think the MVP comes down to what Brady does in the end. In these last 3 games he can force their hand and make them pick him. No one else can do that. If Brady wins the all 3 games and does 8 TDs 0 Ints with 800 yards it is impossible not to pick him. A 30 TD 2 Int stat line while going 11-1 is a must pick. a 30 TD 3 Int stat line will almost surely do it as well.

Because the Packers had a stretch of 4-6 weeks where they played like crap and for a few of those games Rodgers was part of the issue while in others he was what kept them alive. At this point it's not even clear if GB ends up in the playoffs.

My prediction is if Brady gets out of Denver with a win and a good performance he most probably have won the MVP. I doubt that he would **** the bed against the Dolphins and Jets in the last 2 weeks for it to have any effect on voting.

If Rodgers wins out and Brady wins out, Brady is 11-1 and Rodgers is 10-6. Hard to not give Brady the nod when he still won more games despite the BS suspension.

Can't say this enough. Did people watch Rogers in those games? WAY below par for him. Not an MVP season.

personally i hope he does not get it and someone like Carr gets it. This way its more funny when Brady beats Carr's ass in the playoffs. Also, another slight he can add to his long list to be pissed about and we all know pissed tom is the best tom

If either Stafford or Carr can take either of their losing franchises to 11 or more wins this year they would deserve some kind of prize.
