What's with all of the vaginas on the forum lately? Do these guys think they're Cleveland Browns fans or something?

Relax, little guys. Bill didn't trade you to the Browns. Although it would be great if he could.

I'm good with Tom Brady and the #2 ranked defense and a 10-2 record.
I'll leave you to cry about your fears.

Pats win with ease while putting up 400 yards of offense and have their best defensive showing of the year and really best defensive showing in years and we can't do 5 minutes without some doom-and-gloom filled post.

Not saying people need to go full on homer but do they need to be reminded that at this time last year we were all sitting here pissed off about losing a home game to the eagles?

It's really at a level this board has never seen. I get that this board isn't intended to be homer central but I am f**cking beyond tired of having to sift through the doom-and-gloom chicken little ****. Something really needs to be done and yes I get that there is an ignore feature but i've decided to stop using it just so I can completely **** over every doom-and-gloom post.

BTW where are the people that wanted Belichick's head on a spike for trading Derby. Big showing by him yesterday against the Jaguars with his 1 reception and 3 yards. He now has 7 rec for 68 yards in 4 games with Denver.

Heres the thing. If you limit pats fans to this board, you find a lot of people who want to complain. They create a narrative that there is some major problem that is the reason they should be depressed and pessimistic and lose hope. Personally I think its the Red Sox effect hanging over from before 2004.
In any event these people want security in the fact that if the Patriots don't win the SB they saw it coming. So they pick a cause celebre, and regardless of all the evidence showing they are wrong they stick with it. In fact they actually root for that part of the team to suck.
When the numbers don't jive, its the eye test. Then when that gets stale it becomes the competition.
I think we have a lot of people in New England who are better equipped to be Browns fans, so they could be happy that they can list a bunch of reasons the team will suck, and be right.

My fav things this game easily

Sheard bouncing back 2 weeks in a row. I hope he can do more with pressure but he has made his presence felt on the field.
Van Noy is the best answer for Collins clearly but Roberts made a few nice plays too.
Ryan and Rowe have picked it up recently a bit. We need both of them to be right along with Butler. The last 3 games I like how they played WRs. I think Fitzpatrick made some very good passes against our secondary but for the most part we have not seen many break downs and when plays are made more often or not it is good plays more than bad coverage at this point.

Quantum Dislike is at it again, and now he doesn't like that we have Tom Brady are 10-2 and 2nd in points allowed defense.
Maybe if we lose a few you will be happy.

Baris: In my opinion, you have taken this entire, very important project far too lightly.
Kirk: On the contrary, sir. I think of this project as very important. It is YOU I take lightly.

I avoided even looking at the game thread...so proud of myself....and watching the game was so much more enjoyable. LOL

That explains a lot.

FYI Roberts didn't play any snaps on defense. You may have been talking about McClellin

Yea I stayed away from it too. I just didn't want to deal with any negativity.

I peek in when the game is not televised, but rarely post there, and I went to town recently ignoring some of the worst posters in the game thread. It made it more readable.

One rule of thumb for me is if you post a negative comment in the game thread and have very few posts, you go on ignore, but those are easy to pick out.

If u think that kind of efficieny, 4/16 on third down, following a 4/14 Vs the nyj is going to be successful in the playoffs I'd like to hear your reasoning

I think you overrate that statistic. The Pats had a 60% third down efficiency against the Seahawks - and lost.

Btw, during his career Amendola has had about the same number of catches on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down.

Happy? He'll be over the moon! And he's been practicing typing "I hate to say I told you so..." for so long now in anticipation that he can do it in the same time you or I can type "the". Pity he's never had the opportunity yet.

P.S. Dislikes from Chicken Littles are like the distilled tears of Patriot fan opponents, they slake the thirst in a similar manner.

yes because they had two turnovers to Seattle's zero

I wonder whether there would be support from the mods for a sticky called "Chicken Little Beach" where we could honour the biggest whiners on the board with immortality for their wondrous skills in identifying the biggest problems of our horribly flawed team despite whatever fraudulent statistic the homers throw at them (usually trivial things like "points allowed" and "wins-losses"). And then it would be there forever so we could just refer them to post # whatever from the CLB thread and hopefully embarrass them enough to stop their entitled behaviour for perhaps five minutes or so...

Wait, I thought you weren't going to comment again until after the Broncos game....

Confused....

Sorry just had to clarify to a complete pomp pomp waving moron.. this is officially my last post until after the ravens game.

Must have been then. I thought it was Roberts

No need to frown. It was not easy to express belief in McClellin on this board so would be more in place.

The last two games showed there are 4 very different and versatile LBs on the roster that allow all sorts of looks and usage. They are stepping up one by one and showing not only they can be productive if put in proper use but also that they can be confident, energetic LB TEAM. Its almost uncanny what the late addition of modest trade brought to the unit. After only 3 games Van Noy looks like energetic playmaker, even playcaller and sort of a (cheer)leader this D desperately needed. I hope he can keep it up.

Roberts is (and will be) a great weapon on limited snaps and assignments. Hope his jaw injury doesnt hold him back too much. He's a fighter.

And let me throw here another thing .. a sensation I have that Mingo is set to be 2014 Butler ..
