The rest of the season will be a slog on offense... We can expect 33% third down conversions going forward and if teams bottle up the run it'll be worse...2 touchdowns and 4 fg Vs one of the worst teams in the league AT HOME is bad... Something tells me the 4 yard passing attack isn't gonna work next monday

There's probably a "The Voice" Christmas special you could tune in to instead since this team is so God awful bad in your mind that they're beyond any help.

Let's face it. The Patriots just aren't good anymore

Once the game was out of control they stopped giving study film to the next team. Why would they?
That's not what the poster implied

No it was just plain old sarcasm because I really don't feel like discussing anything with you. You dont bring anything to the table and resort to insulting people.

If u think that kind of efficieny, 4/16 on third down, following a 4/14 Vs the nyj is going to be successful in the playoffs I'd like to hear your reasoning
So everything has to be perfect in every game or we are screwed? Because there are so many flawless teans out there right?

Its not negativity its reality. We all knew the Patriots were going to beat the Rams. I know I am stupid apparently, the Patriots are perfect there is nothing to get excited about. They have an elite defense and great offense.

Or:
Nevermind this will go in circles. I won't comment anymore until after the Ravens/Broncos games. Those are 2 quality teams.
You have no credibility. Earlier you said you only saw bits and pieces of the game yet you were critiquing it. You get called out on it and now you missed a couple of drives.
Good plan to not comment anymore but 2 games may not be long enough.

Was reading the game thread at times, with the game on in the background. Turning back and forth was entering two different worlds.

With two minutes left in the game, the Pats had 404 yards, the Rams 90.

The Rams had won 4 games, including one against Seattle. Several of their 7 losses had been 1-score game. The Rams D was #9 in ypg.

And the Patriots, adjusting to the loss of Gronk, handed them one of the most lopsided beat-downs I've ever seen. In the game thread, you'd think it was a 3-point game and we got outplayed...or, the other side of the coin, that we weren't playing a real NFL team anyway.

Amazing.

Anyone, on the game: Blount Lewis, and White all look fresh and ready to roll into the playoffs.

Mitchell has become the solid outside guy to compliment Hogan (who is clearly playing hurt with that back - you could see it on a couple of blocks).

The OL again played well, against a pretty good front.

Van Noy, Van Noy, Van Noy.

McClellin played well, I thought.

Sheard played well and almost caused a pair of picks when dropping back into coverage, and caused one of the picks hitting the QB's arm.

Eric Rowe was a nice pick-up - hope his hammy is okay. They can do a lot more back there (blitzing Ryan) with Rowe.

Gost needed that.

Bennett is hobbled, but his blocking was again outstanding.

The Pats are the best team in the AFC. They play their game and they have a good shot at the #1 seed and at the SB.

One last point: I'm sure many of those game-thread posters looked at Seattle last night and are now thinking "no chance!"

Seattle got beat by Tampa 14-5 last week. It's the NFL.

I took "Not opening up the whole playbook" as not exposing the whole playbook.

Thats not what I took the poster to imply but whatever.

We've been hearing for weeks posters saying the D is playing vanilla.

No, you could certainly win a a playoff game in which you convert 4/14 third downs if the other team is equally as bad on third down or if you get 2 or 3 turnovers with short fields. The whole point is that once the Patriots lose s key cog or cogs on offense, they struggle mightily on third down. They're easier to defend. This isn't rocket science and I don't understand why people argue the point.
Last season Lewis went out vs Washington and Edelman vs the NYG...in the 3 games following they were 4/14 (BUF), 2/13 (DEN), and 7/17 (PHI) on third down. They were 1-2 in those games. They can't afford hiccups because if they lose 1 or 2 games they're likely on the road for the playoffs and that has meant failure since SD in 2006.
Amendola is a HUGE loss. He's made a ton of big third down grabs this season - including yesterday. He's gone until the playoffs according to NFL network...

If you weren't paying attention to the game, you weren't watching it.. You claiming otherwise is ridiculous.. Furthermore, Bruins29 waiting until you made a fool of yourself before calling you out.. You have no one to blame but yourself.

I'm good with Tom Brady and the #2 ranked defense and a 10-2 record.
I'll leave you to cry about your fears.

Amendola had 23 catches in 12 games.
Lewis has 11 in 2.
Mitchell has 17 in his last 3.

We will be fine without amendola.

I've given you a lot of grief, but this is a reasonable response. The offense probably will take some time to adjust. The difference is that this year, however, we're deeper than last year, and once Hogan and Bennett are fully healthy, I don't see any team stopping our offense.

Ya Ya I know it's PFF but Shaq Mason made their top 10 players of the week list

9. Shaquille Mason, G, New England Patriots
When you are part of an offensive unit that holds Aaron Donald to his lowest grade of the season, you are doing something right. Mason didn’t allow a single pressure from his 48 snaps in pass protection against one of the league’s most pressure-happy defenses, and helped clear a path for LeGarrette Blount to average 4.9 yards per carry and the team to rush for 133 yards overall on the ground in the win over the Rams.

Quantum Dislike is at it again, and now he doesn't like that we have Tom Brady are 10-2 and 2nd in points allowed defense.
Maybe if we lose a few you will be happy.
