Yeah me too. I was gonna say just go with Gregory Peter Robert Brady.

Wow, some of the stuff that gets posted on this board is weird.

Tom Brady can't name the baby, can't sign the birth certificate, can't make medical decisions, and can't do anything like that. (That is, unless there's already been a judicial determination of paternity, which I'm guessing is very unlikely, or unless they sign one together at the hospital before the birth or after but before completion of the birth certificate.)

These rules are not rules about "women's lib." They are, essentially, rules about evidence.

There is no doubt about who the mother of a baby is. The doctor has proof. As far as he or she is concerned there is only one person in the world that he can have absolute confidence is biologically related to the child. No such certainty exists with respect to any man in the world, and barring an in utero blood test, as far as the law is concerned, the father could be anyone of child producing age.

The law makes a single exception: It will, unless and until paternity is estbalished otherwise, give legal authority to a man married to woman at the time the woman delivers a child. But, as noted, this is merely a presumption, and it doesn't apply to Tom Brady.

As far as naming goes, every state has its own rules. But by and large the parent can name the child whatever she wants. So, she can call him Brady, or not, or anything else.

(NB: Don't rely on the internet for legal advice. Do you own research. I may be full of crap.)

Not quite true, actually. Americans have near-full leeway in first names, but surnames are more tightly regulated. It varies from state to state, but in California and many others you're expected to use one of the parents' names or some combination thereof. There is case law where parents have sued unsuccessfully for the right to give their child an unrelated surname. And in quite a few states (Tennessee is one that comes to mind where I've reviewed the guidelines), there's still a strong legal presumption in favor of the father's surname, even if the parents aren't married.

(I'm no lawyer, but I do know names! )

[I've edited out of existence my unnecessary thread hijacking. Sorry.]

Promiseland, it's called denial!

3 years of baby free sex and all of the sudden things get tense for your girlfriend. September, she has a birthday and turns 36 (clock is tick tick ticking), in October her big break TV show gets put on unexpected hiatus AND her BF of 3 years, who is 7 years her junior, has given her no signs of commitment. Ummmmm, yeah, I am sure it was an accident!

Face it, Tom Brady got 'Moynahanded'. Even the great ones have their bad days!
Look D.W., I'm not saying it didn't happen that way - all I'm saying is that every fact you're mentioning is circumstantial evidence. And the reason circumstantial evidence is weak evidence in court is the same reason which applies here - it doesn't prove anything. That's why I think it is best to not condemn someone when we don't know the true facts.

look P.L. facts are never going to surface here so we are left to speculate on all things Tom and Bridget. Tom's ex's planned parenthood game plan is just too obvious it is laughable. It might be my speculation or my opinion, but I think it is pretty damned close to reality!

Come on dude. Looks that way, we don't know. We just don't. It's not like supermodels are going to come looking for child support, regardless of what daddy does or doesn't do regarding being a dad to the child.

I honestly don't think we can assume she pulled a fast one on Tom, but it's just plain speculation (not to mention none of our business.) I'm just glad that we get to name the baby.

Gee Tune, thanks for starting another seemingly innocuous thread about Tom's personal life so that segment of his fan base feels the need to can expound on it again, even if some of them can't manage to do it in coherent sentences This is the kind of low brow crap trolls looking for attention tend to post on other boards. It's as if we self troll here. We're not homers...we can poke sticks at the QB who brought us 3 rings with impunity. Maybe when the original thread timed out it was a sign...

I really hope Tom or his folks or his sisters or even the soon to be mother of his child aren't inclined to lurk here on occasion. Because it's embarassing what some of you so called football fans post. No wonder fans of other teams think we're a fanbase of judgemental, self-absorbed jerks.

Could somebody at least move this drivel to the Pub where it belongs since it's not remotely football related.

Lordy Mo, why are you taking this so seriously? And in a negative light, no less ... Your namesake was even included in the poll!

Peyton Manning Moynahan

Sounds good, don't it?

If Ms. Moynahan wants her child to have her name, guarantee it happens. If Ms. Moynahan wants child support, guarantee she gets it.

He could name him Lawyer after his good friend, but that might not seem like such a good idea after Bridget's through with him.

First she is NO supermodel! Your confusing her with his current squeeze. Bridget was a model in her early 20's and that was well over 10 years ago. She is some sort of actress. Not well known other than for dating Tom Brady. Of course this is speculation on people in the public eye. That has been going on for years. I see nothing wrong with calling out the obvious and that is that she was going for the keeper play when she planned her pregnancy!

Already this baby is more famous than she is and she will want his money and espcially his name for their baby (**** Moynahan-Brady is my guess). She is an actress and I am sure cares greatly about her baby, but make no mistake that she is keeping her eye on the ball to further her career since her acting ability isn't doing it. She knew/knows this baby is more than her 15 minute jackpot! I mean seriously, if your not a household name after I, Robot or even acting opposite Al Pacino in The Recruit, well then you are pretty forgettable, but date and get impregnated by America's Golden Boy QB and well see what happens, she gets more press now than ever. Pretty savvy move Bridget!

Words to live by, next time somebody has the temerity to mention the Red Sox in this forum.

In fact, I'd like to personally take all credit for the lack of Bruins talk in these parts.
