Resigning Bennett wont affect Butler. We will have 60+ million in cap room next season. That is way more than enough to lock up Bennett, Butler, Hightower, and anyone else they want to keep long term. Hell, if they wanted to they could even go out and sign a big name free agent on top of that.

pats have a lots of cap money next season and butler is not a star 7 to 8 million will keep him around for a long time. there is no one other then Bennett and butler to sign every other FA has been cut traded or benched, some say the pats will have 60 million in cap space in 2017 I don't know if that's true but even less then 20 million should be a problem signing a 30 year old TE and a #2 CB who is a RFA

Don't know why you assume Bennett's contract will surpass Gronk's, or that Gronk would not be a good soldier if it did. Just make it equal and remind Gronk he's been getting paid the big bucks longer than Bennett.

I can list a few inside LB's who are better then Hightower stat wise who are only making 5 million per and again Bennett will not get more then 6 million at 30 years old Delanie Walker and Greg Olsen are at under 7 million per and just over 7 million per both are better TE's then Bennett,

I have no use for the Minihate and Callahate show, and the midday show just sucks, Ordway is a blowhard and Merloni has turned into an angry whiner. So the only show I listen to anymore is Dale and Holley and while I am really happy Thornton is gone I would still like to see them bring in someone who is somewhat contrarian to fire it up a little.

There will be a lot of turnaround this offseason imo. Hightower will be franchised if they can't get a deal done and we will have to see how free agency works out to better understand their draft needs.

1) The Patriots have likely had no contact with his agent.
2) The Patriots will let him walk.
