If Brady wins a 5th ring before he retires, how long...

My gut says Wilson and Roethlisburger are most likely to reach 3 SB wins, and they have a very outside chance at 4.

Damn, dude. Wilson currently has one SB victory. You're projecting the Seahawks to be a future dynasty? I think it's much more likely that they've started to come back down to earth from their past success, although I could certainly get on board with the idea that they could win another at some point.

Might be off topic. Yet here it goes:. Bledsoe doesn't get hurt in 01. Do the Pats win the SB? Better yet, does Brady become Brady? Or, Pats take a knee and go on to lose in OT on February 3rd, 2002. Is Brady still the same guy he is today? What are y'all thoights?

I would guess within 50 years but if the game goes more towards running QBs then never cause they will never be healthy and effective long enough.
I agree with you, but they can change some rules to protect QB. Because more scores more people watching. No one loves watching games 0-0 even if there are two of the best defense ever.

Went to the hair salon yesterday and got my monthly trashy magazine fix. The Star had an item about Gisele wanting Tom to retire before he got a concussion. Now I know the Star is not the bastion of journalism like the NY Daily News or Post but maybe there's a hint of truth in that. The article did say that G usually gets her way eventually .

Guys, I'm gonna probably cry when Brady retires.
Not yet. Not for a long time still.

Screw the accomplishments. He came here and did the best he could, tried to make himself the best football player he could be, ALWAYS put his team first, remained humble and focused and did what he had to do to overcome distractions, and never let negative behavior by others stop him from genuinely caring about the game and the people close to him, and set the greatest example for people in striving to be a better person, and contribute to his community.

Tom is in a class with Steve Grogan, Bobby Orr and a few others who've come here to play pro sports and represent our city and region.

I am not projecting a future Seahawks dynasty. I'm just looking at a couple of factors:
-The Seahawks as constructed are good enough to win another SB in the next 2-4 years before they begin experiencing significant roster turnover.
-Wilson is a top 5 QB with one ring already and, barring injury, 10 - 12 years of football ahead of him
-Seattle has proven in the past 15 years to be a franchise that is institutionally more likely re-build into a contender. That increases Wilson's odds compared with younger guys like Winston.
These factors in mind, I view Wilson is MOST LIKELY to reach the 4 Super Bowl mark.

Roethlisburger, by comparison, has one more ring and 8 more years of heavy wear and tear under his belt. He could win one more in the next couple of years, but his odds of winning two - given his age and the beating he's taken - is much lower than Wilson's, IMO.

Wilson is an above average QB who has benefited significantly from Seattle's great defense. There are games he disappears.

Amongst other things, he has had success in throwing deep balls that his receivers come down with due to the receiver's ability, not necessarily because of the quality of the pass. Don't get me wrong, that can be a good strategy. But it doesn't mean the QB gets credit for being better than the other guy who could also chuck it up there given the same circumstances.

This will piss everyone off. If Brady wins 5th ring he won't need a scheduling conflict not to show up at the White House like when Obama invited him because his guy in there.

That's the disagreement. I view Wilson as a borderline elite QB who leads the 2nd tier after Brady, Rodgers, Roethlisburger and Brees. His efficiency stats are elite level though his volume stats are lacking, and his record in both regular season and playoffs justify placement above Newton, Ryan, Luck and others.

His wife won't be accompanying him, that's for sure. And since she clearly wears the pants in that family, my money says she won't let HIM go, either.

One of the best things about TFB is that I take comfort that there's one guy more whipped than I.

Continued, hopeless mediocrity until and unless Bledsoe gets out of there. That it took the Lewis hit, calls into serious question whether Belichick would have made the change in time to salvage the season.

Brady was going to be Brady regardless.

PWP, there's a lot of crap around here that's posted with the intent of being funny. But, brother, you just done blowed the doors off everyone in that department. And you're right: TFB doesn't do anything without G's OK.

"If" he wins a fifth? Isn't it more like "when"?

I think Brady keeps going until he feels he can not conpete anymore.

For us to win it all this year, we need to stay healthy. Thus far this year we have been incredibly lucky in the health department, we just have to keep that up.

Well, that sounds true

I would have loved to see Bill stuffing Jordan's shots, or touch-blocking them to another Celtics player. Bird treated him bad enough though.
I believe MJ's career stats and accomplishments compare very favorably with Erving, Baylor and others. It's a tremendous compliment to say that he's in the top 20 all-time. But media-brainwashed people just cannot accept the (fact) possibility that Jordan (and Gretzky) isn't the G.O.A.T. I'd take Jean Beliveau over Wayne. Nothing personal.
