NFL Week 11 Early Advanced 'Look-Ahead' Betting Lines: Patriots favored by 14.5

John Morgan

There are only two home teams in Week 11 that are not favored. Not surprisingly these are the two worst teams in the NFL this season, San Francisco and Cleveland. The Forty Niners have the misfortune of being on New England's schedule next week. The Patriot 2016 Vindication for Defamegate Tour travels to Santa Clara for a late afternoon game (4:25 pm ET) at Levi’s Stadium on Sunday November 20.

Probably not a good omen..

that line is ridiculous. it should be -8 ish.

The revenge of the National Anthem kneeler!

Can't be serious, no real bettor would take the pats, hell if it stays at -14.5 I'll take a stab at it.

Ridiculous line even though the 49ers stink.

If I had to bet which I don't I would lay the points and take the pats, against the 49'ers. I smell like a 45-17 game.

This game against Seattle actually is the first real good test this team has had. The Steelers would have been but Ben was hurt. The Texans suck. Besides opening night that was a good match up. If Seattle stays close and plays a very competitive game against us then I might change my bet against San Fran.

Yeah as really I think that the Pats need to have defense win them the game. And really pressure Wilson more and more. It is about pressuring Wilson!

Guessing they'll be using a containment scheme, much like last time, and much like we've seen vs. other scrambling QBs.

Anyone have any recent numbers on the Pats giving -10 or more on the road? Past 5 years? 10 years?

At the NFL level I don't think any team should ever be favored by 14.5 on the road.

Some games (most? all?) you just shouldn't touch for betting purposes. No chance in hell I'm taking SF over the Pats even at that number.

Got this from oddsshark. I forgot they were favored by 19 @ Baltimore in 2007 - wow.

Totally disagree. Wilson can't run right now. And he has been superb from the pocket. You gotta D him the same way you D other pocket qbs, like TB. Obviously if Wilson's healthy you do more contain. But right now the only way Seattle's O can hurt us is with Wilson's arm. They have no running game to speak of, including wilson.

I'm up close to $2500 this year and my strategy has been "Bet a lot on the Pats." So far it's only failed me once. No reason to stop now.

Also, I don't think I could ever bet against my team. I feel guilty when I opt to not bet on them, like I don't have faith or something.

seattle..

Yikes that is too high. No jinx, no jinx, no jinx....

This will be something to keep an eye on and you may be right, but I think you're overstating Wilson's injury just as well. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out on Sunday.

He's only got 10 more rushing yards than TFB on the season. Reports are he still can't run much. But I agree will be interesting how it plays out
