Let me rephrase. Share a personnel or game management mistake or 2 that Belichick has made.
How is this not one of the biggest possible personnel blunders that ever happened in the BB era ? Not sure what else you want..
Can't think of any obvious mistakes from the top of my head. Most of the stuff that is being criticized is pretty reasonable and while I might personally disagree with it I usually see the logic behind it and see no reason to point the finger.
Lets take the decision to give the Jets the ball as an example. On the surface I understand people being angry about not giving the ball to Brady.
But if you look at the game we had issues moving the ball for the entire game and were only in overtime because of that one, single drive that Brady and Gronk could hobble barely together (had to convert 2x a 4th down). On the flipside, after giving up a TD 2min into the second half after a Brady INT, our defense held the Jets for the rest of the game to a single FG.
So why not trust your defense to make another stop in OT and shorten the field needed to win the game with a FG. Situationally, it makes sense to me and I would hope he will make the same decision again if we get into a similar scenario.
Again, I can't think of any decisions that were simply stupid and can be directly blamed on BB because most of the things that backfired often has enough thought attached to it to make it reasonable upon review.
