The message board policeman who has a huge problem with threads regarding whether or not the watch the NFL, Bob Kraft's role in Deflategate, and anything deemed to be outside of his narrow field of relevant topics...has no problem starting a post about the way an NBA basketball team stands during the national anthem.

here's a hanky and a pacifier.....you should be fine

That's the problem with these buzzwords like "unity." They can be open to interpretation and interpreted in some very funny ways.

absolutely.....just take a look at how you're interpreting it......Jae Crowder as well as a few others put in decent effort to best articulate themselves......I'll give them the benefit of the doubt

carry on with your negative ways

No that's not my point, went over your head, my point is if this is so sacred and sitting or kneeling is such a sin even when for a good cause, then why do people not stand when they are at home? If it's so important and respectful to stand for it, what's their excuse if they just sit on their chairs at home and don't stand?

I know what your point is and, imo, it's incorrect.

The tradition does not involve standing at home or while taking a dump.

Minimizing the value of standing during the NA in a public forum minimizes the value of their protest.

I'm sure it's well intention-ed. I cringe whenever celebrities and athletes start preaching about anything because I'm met enough of them to know that they are, in general, about as stupid as you can get without being declared legally ******ed.

Dangerous generalization.

I'm someone who's been against what Kaep did.

I have no problem with this, through. In fact, I think it's the right way to do it. I think this actually sends a good message.

I also don't see how joining arms, and wearing shoes that say "all lives matter" is anti-cop at all. I think it speaks more to unity towards everyone rather than blaming all the worlds problems on cops.

yes......being ignorantly critical as Kaepernick was/is (I still think his GF got into his head otherwise he would not have given a crap) will not get people to see things differently....in fact it galvanizes them

blah blah.......it wasn't an advertisement for anything........it appears too many idiots love reading between the lines when there's nothing in between
That's what I thought when I read the "Yes massa" post. He must have read between the lines to respond like that

And further more....blah, blah, blah!

A good example of Disrespecting our flag is when you see some dope post a pic of them holding a protest sign while standing on our flag

Sigh. Can't we all just get along?

Can someone here explain to me why we sing the anthem at sporting events in the first place? When did that "tradition" start? How did it become a part of sports? Did some employers out there sing the anthem every day before work so it translated to sports too?
