Can you imagine 40 years ago a fan of another football team saying they hate Terry Bradshaw or Montana or any other successful athlete? No, we admired them even if we rooted for another team. People brought family to sporting events and it was a pastime.

Now, people shoot and beat each other and revel in others misery and the players arent exactly the best role models to begin with.

If there is an alien race out there monitoring us....they are laughing at us - the parasites.

I believe that collectively, our society has never been more selfish......the best example was at a high school event for one of my kids a conversation between parents complaining about community service requirements and the inconvenience of it even though it is only 20 hours per year.... it was one of the saddest things I've heard in a long time
