He played 2.5 games at a time when he wasn't supposed to be ready. He was injured today, he made a few mistakes in all three games. I am not disappointed in JB as he needs time. He gave NE his all and today he came up short.

Having said that : I hope the next time we see him is TC 2017.

The two negatives I have seen in those 2.5 games were his tendency to put too much on throws and therefore overthrow players downfield and then playing the hero instead of going down. Both are correctable as they are a matter of mechanics and maturity.

I just hope that we don't need him anymore this year.

Considering this was his second career start he did ok.

Neither was Brady as a rookie. 1 of 3, 6 yards his rookie season.

Not suggesting Jacoby is going to be the GOAT, but if you look at only their two rookie seasons, no way you'd pick Brady to become anything.

This is going with the assumption that the Patriots will be playing a quick strike offense when Brady retires. They may evolve into a run first team with a mobile quarterback and fast running back complemented by Gronk for some play action passes.

We shouldn't limit ourselves post-Brady by trying to replace him with a Brady-clone. There is only one Brady and he is taking the field this next week.

I'm being a little bit facetious, but I can't tell you how many times I yelled "You're an idiot!" at the TV today referring to Jacoby! I thought his fumbled play was a stupid play and the sack that he took when he was out of the pocket around the Pats 5ish yard line where he had about 10 seconds to just throw the ball away was far from a heads up play.
