Doing the right thing by dumping Cutler was independent of the mistake of drafting Tebow.
Understood - I just thought it would be funny to see them together again - briefly - after the divorce last time. That kind of thing cracks me up.Partly, I was being entirely flippant.
Partly, I was disagreeing with the idea that Cutler made the Chicago option somehow cooler (to us fans) than the others.
That's a recipe for ending up like every other coach in the NFL. The biggest thing Bill has proven is the importance of total control of the system.
I hope he at least goes to a team that needs a QB. That way he can pay us a ton for one of our backups. Since he's much more familiar with them than some QB in the draft.
Just because someone is a great coordinator doesn't mean they have what it takes to be a good head coach, regardless if that's what they aspire to. We've seen this before.
