This sounds a little too extreme to be true...do you believe this?

Yeah okay. I'm sure.

"Get out there Jimmy!!"
Coach I can't even lift my arm
"BRADY HAS PLAYED WITH NO ARMS! AND HALF A FOOT! GET OUT THERE!"

Link says Brady has played through this before on more than one occasion. What's amazing is how Tom masks the initial pain of major injuries...you'd never know.

Yep and Golden Globe winners like Favre, Roeth and McNair made it sound like they just survived three combat tours of duty in Afghanistan just so the can play on Sunday.

Is this "pressure" somehow specific to the QB position? They can't apply the same pressure to Gronk and his hammy?

I don't buy it.

I think its very specific to the QB position.

The QB is the leader. A soft QB (and I'm not saying Jimmy is soft) is a very, very bad thing for a team.

Right now this is Jimmy's team. You aren't just handed that by this coach without earning it and being tested to see how badly you want to keep it.

I buy it. For years Brady would end up on the injury report as questionable or probable. I always thought it was Belichick playing games, but in an interview a year or two ago Brady talked about how his shoulder and elbow were constantly in a lot of pain. That's what led him to his personal trainer Guerrero.

100% true. I read the same article. It was a lengthy piece. SI maybe?

Brady is one tough mother F**ker. There are some games I just don't know how the hell he stayed in.

That said JG has already shown some toughness on his own. I don't think anyone needs to push him to play through pain if he can play.

If he is playing it's because he wants to play and not because someone pressured him into it.

The Patriots are using Brady’s toughness to push Garoppolo “to be ready as quickly as possible,” sources told the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe on Tuesday. Brady has played multiple games during his career with a similar injury, and the Patriots are reminding Garoppolo of this to pressure him to play, according to Howe.
sources = tom brady spreading rumors about garoppolo being soft (at the same time pumping himself up). ensures JAG is the one traded at the end of the season and not him.

If this story is true, this is BB testing Jimmy big time. Assuming his shoulder cannot be damaged any further BB is measuring what Jimmy's pain threshold is.

"Jimmy, to make it in this league you gotta have...

brass balls."

Different injury. Gronk not pain management but risk of tearing hammy and missing extended time.

This is all subjective but I personally think that JG will play because he wants to play and not because BB or anyone else has pressured him.

I'm betting he'll be ready to play whether that's as a backup or a starter.

But for the record I think he plays.

I would be shocked if they didn't.
