Just read he's been limited by a bad back and didn't impress in camp or pre-season, but In Bill We Trust.I was impressed with Street during last year's preseason (wife is a DAL fan). Didn't pay much attention this summer, though.
Thats another cut that annoys me.
Is Justin Coleman really that much better than Daryl Roberts? Does Justin Coleman have more upside than Daryl Roberts?
Sorry but no way.
Might be special teams again that was the difference.
Yeah, I didn't pay close enough attention this summer, but last summer he looked very good. Let's hope the back issues subside on some level and he gets a shot at learning the playbook.Just read he's been limited by a bad back and didn't impress in camp or pre-season, but In Bill We Trust.
This isn't a bad signing in my opinion.

So 4.4 is equal to 4.5? and vertical and broad are much higher.
I am just curious why you think Roberts has more potential? Coleman went to the combine and Roberts numbers are from a pro day. Coleman led all DBs at the combine in the bench press, 3 cone drill, 20-yard shuttle, and 60-yard shuttle. Roberts did not even get invited to the combine.
Roberts is also almost 26, which makes him over 2 1/2 years older than Coleman. Generally the younger player has more potential.
Roberts
Height: 5110
Weight: 187
40 Yrd Dash: 4.38
20 Yrd Dash: 2.50
10 Yrd Dash: 1.48
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 23
Vertical Jump: 39
Broad Jump: 11'01"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.06
3-Cone Drill: 6.66
Coleman
Height: 5105
Weight: 185
40 Yrd Dash: 4.53
20 Yrd Dash: 2.60
10 Yrd Dash: 1.54
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 20
Vertical Jump: 37 1/2
Broad Jump: 10'04"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 3.98
3-Cone Drill: 6.61
Coleman has proven he can play in the NFL, Roberts has not.

I would take Coleman's numbers at the combine a lot more serious than I would Roberts at Marshalls pro day.So 4.4 is equal to 4.5? and vertical and broad are much higher.
I dont have any problem with Coleman on this team. He sucks as outside but as slot he wasnt bad last year.
I think that problem with Roberts is that he lost one year of playing and he had only one or two good week before going to IR after preseason first game.
There may be an element of "binkism" in my analysis and I'm trying to divorce myself from it.

Unless is a major school such as Alabama or Florida, etc. I take pro day numbers with a grain of salt. They are not nearly as accurate as the combine numbers. Coleman is every bit the athlete Roberts is and he is 2.5 years younger so he is not going to start to regress in the next few seasons. There may be an element of "binkism" in my analysis and I'm trying to divorce myself from it.
I thought Roberts' was more sticky on the outside and inside and his athleticism was better thus making him a better CB
You are 100% correct. Coleman did ok last year and Roberts has not done enough.
IMO it was Jones' doing a bang-up job on special teams. Plus I think hes a better athlete than LeBlanc. In coverage I kinda thought they were pretty equal.
