Can someone explain to me why everyone is so ... um, "worked up" about a 220lb linebacker?
I was dreading this. They claimed an injured player, wow they're hard up for anything patriots.
“A leftover, behind-the-scenes nugget from Patriots-Bears joint practices,” ESPN’s Mike Reiss shared in his weekly notes. “After Bears backup quarterback Brian Hoyer was picked off by Patriots rookie linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill on Monday, he relayed that Tom Brady came up to him and told him not to take it too hard because Grugier-Hill is a good player and had been doing that to New England quarterbacks as well. Grugier-Hill, a sixth-round pick from Eastern Illinois, who shows up on all core special-teams units and has been disruptive on defense by closing quickly and showing good ball skills, has made a fast impression on some of his teammates in New England, starting with Brady.”

Well, you'd have to understand that he wasn't JUST a "220 lb LB". He's a guy who was a damn good special teams player and he was a hybrid LB/S ala Chung who has a high ceiling. A lot of people foresaw him as the heir apparent to the ST captaincy once Slater was gone..
Good luck to KGH.
Yes, I understand -- and everyone is entitled to their binkie. I'm going to mourn Crevon LeBlanc -- perhaps we missed out on the next Asante Samuel.
If that's how you compare him, then I'm glad because I don't want a CB who gives up when the chips are down.

Well, I'm thinking of his best plays for the Pats, of course (and there were a lot of them).
