You remember all your 'agrees'? I can't remember what I had for dinner. It wasn't a great draft but if we got 3-4 wins because Jimmy played well, it will have been worth something.
1. There was certainly evidence at the time that Easley didn't give a damn about football. I wasn't as high on him as you and Mayo but I was fine with the pick at the time because I thought it signalled a new attacking defense.
2. I was OK with the Jimmy G pick. Back up QBs are important, you just hope to never have to use them. I like what I've seen from him so far. Thank goodness we have little evidence of what he can do on the football field so far.
3. Stork & White. Both have done OK. Would have preferred a little better than OK.
4. The rest was borderline trash.
It's been a few years since we had an O lineman retire in training camp.............If Stork does retire, can we have a seperate thread so that we get seperate cut/traded/retired threads all on the same day.
Revisiting the 2014 draft
I agree that if Garoppolo plays well, the draft doesn't look as bad. But, even if that happens, this was still one of Bill's worst draft and may still take the cake. Especially now that Stork has been shipped off.

Yes....
This. It's hard to argue that aside from Stork and Jimmy, that draft was full of misses. But getting 3 cheap years of an elite #1 corner completely cancels out any damage those misses might have done, and then some.Even though he was undrafted Malcolm Butler has to be considered part of the 2014 haul and that changes the perspective a lot. If you get a #1 corner who won you a Super Bowl and a starting caliber QB out of a rookie class, that's a success.
This whole Stork situation is kind of like me asking my GF what does she want to eat for dinner...
