I need some help resetting my Twitter password. I have done what Twitter says to do to reset my password but I have yet to receive a password reset email. My Twitter handle is @patscap. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

This. Especially if you have Yahoo or Gmail. Both of those email platforms are infamous for emails that aren't spam getting moved to that folder.

Though seriously, we've all been in your boat many times. Like a contact number you enter once and never dial again, auto-fill passwords make forgetting passwords waaaay too easy.

Before you do that, try filing a request here:

Request help signing in to your account.

I don't know how helpful this will be, but calling them is next to impossible so I'd at least go this route and see how it goes.

If you're like many of us, you have multiple E-mail addresses. Are you certain that the E-mail you are checking is the one that you used when you signed up for Twitter? I have mistakenly used my Comcast E-mail for a few sign-ups and expected communication in my yahoo e-mail account. Sucks in instances like this.

I think the one time I did it, it took almost a week before they got back to me. They're absolutely horrible, but I at least eventually heard from them. Hopefully they get back to you as well. They definitely need a better system.

I'm sure you've read this but just throwing this out there just in case.

Recovering a lost or forgotten password

If you’ve forgotten your password, you can still log in:
If you’ve forgotten your password, you can request a temporary login code via email or SMS text message (if you have a verified phone number on your account). The option to send yourself the login code appears on the login screen after you’ve entered an incorrect password (currently only available on iOS devices). Once you receive the login code, you can use it to log in (instead of your password). Please note: the login code is temporary and is not reusable.

You can opt out of this feature by visiting your Security and privacy settings on twitter.com. UnderSecurity, look for Log in with code and check the box next to Always require a password to log in to my account.

But during the recovery process don't you have to enter the email address you registered the Twitter account with?

If so maybe you could , if you haven't already, try to recover your account by submitting multiple recovery requests using each of your email accounts.
