PATRIOTS NEWS Alan Millstein: Brady's chances of en banc hearing dramatically improved with latest amicus filings

It's based off of Sheilla dingus's analysis of recent CA2 cases. i hope this helps! according to her, there ahave been 21 en banc petitons filed since april 25 that CA2 is still deciding. it seems like this is a very conservative court procedure-wise, so they will likely issue their decision in order of receipt. brady filed his en banc appeal end of May, so probably we'll hear something late August. i don't think they will make a special exception for brady and the nfl.

Second Circuit Update: 7/11/16

Good post, that explains the time frame.

Thanks. The info in the link is very helpful. it also tells me that one has to be on Pacer to get the full picture. Thanks again.

No it doesn't. It just says that one has to be on Pacer to get the full story.

Well, what i said originally that CA2 would issue its ruling in order of when it received the en banc petition. Wallach says some have been already decided that were filed AFTER brady filed his. So my theory was wrong.

Would this come down as a summary order? I would think so, right? it's not going to have any precedential value.

I'd actually be curious to hear the stats on how often (if at all) CA2 orders the other side to respond to the en banc appeal request.

Don't be too hard on yourself. We're all just guessing about this part of things anyway.

Based on my extensive knowledge and given the importance that many of us ascribe to this matter, I think it's most likely and, indeed, appropriate that Katzmann will don flowing robes and descend from the top of Mount Washington with the ruling engraved on two stone tablets.

Lol, I'm sure you are. Though I'm betting you'd actually be pretty disappointed.

More than happy to go into the Geno vs Fitz debate if ya want, but probably not the best thread for it. @XLIX is already having a hissy fit and calling for me to be banned.

Maybe over in the Jets Suck thread?

What? "I'm tired of discussing this........let's discuss this in another thread" ???

What? "I'm tired of discussing this with the same Jet fans, wouldn't mind some Pat fan opinions........let's discuss this in another thread" ???

Fixed.

LaConfara and Shefter are now reporting that the ruling will come from Mount Washington in the coming days

Do you often get tired of discussing issues with Jet fans?

Lol, any topic discussed ad nauseam with the same group of people for 6 months and counting gets tiring.

Luckily it doesn't happen often.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't it spell bad news for Brady if they issue their decision without asking the NFL for their response to the rehearing request, or could that have been done without us knowing it?

Simply not true, our THE JETS SUCK.....thread has been going for years and years and it never gets old.

Good call. That is a favorite of mine as well. But there are endless subtopics for that one. The Jets seem happy to supply plenty of talking points.

Geno vs Fitz is just that. Can only be taken so far.

How about talking about talking about stuff? Does that ever get old?
