This guy is scary. Most of the hits on this highlight reel are no longer legal in the NFL, but they still happen (i.e. Kam Chancellor inthe Super Bowl) and this guy looks like the next Assassin. It is fitting that he was drafted by the Raiders:

which ones aren't legal?

outside of one deep pass, it was all hard and clean

I mean the dude sucks, but I like how he plays

huge reach on their part, though

The head shots are not legal. He aims for the head every time. He is a goon.

Of course if he played for the Patriots I would love him, but since he is now a Raider, I have to hate him....and it is painful to watch some of these hits.

all the ones on running plays would not be flagged

he's going to wind up getting himself hurt....at best he's another bob sanders...in 8 years, the guy played more than 6 games in a season twice

Is this OK; can you really do a headshot with a shoulder pad? The ambulance chasers will love it, but it not good for the game or needed.

I shouldn't have watched that again. It saddens me so much that a piece of crap like Tatum could end the career and eventually the life of someone like Darryl Stingley.

I cannot watch it. It is sickening.

However Steve Grogan, Stingley's teammate, when asked about making a comment about Tatum's death, stated: "I have a hard time trying to find something nice to say.... I just can't do it".

Tatum eventually faced his own disability challenges, as all five toes on his left foot were amputated in 2003 due to a staph infection caused by diabetes.[8] He soon lost the entire leg below the knee because of the illness.[4] He also suffered from an arterial blockage that cost him his right leg; he used a prosthetic limb thereafter
Wow. Life did not let him have it easy enh?

It wasn't the hit, it was how he acted.

Go see the guy in the hospital. Show remorse that this happened. Don't wait decades before trying to meet with the guy as part of a PR move. You know - be a regular human being about it.

I don't think he really has the size to play the position like that in the pros. Sure, he's got an entertaining college highlight reel of hits (of course that's why the Raiders drafted him), but always going for that sports center hit and leading with his helmet will inevitably lead to missed tackles and self-inflicted injuries.

Never understood why the Patriots did not give him some sort of posthumous HOF status.. thought he deserved it. Obviously he was a fave of mine..

Because it would remind people of sad associations with the game and thus drive down revenues.
