Do you see it as a back up move in the event the Patriots move JAG for draft capital? I understand the hedging the bets mentality and I understand the need to protect the position it just seems meh.

How can they? They can't impossible trade Garp now with the Bs still on...

OK...so if we skip past QB/not QB to "why THIS QB" -- fwiw Cook had serious questions about personality and leadership, whereas Brissett is supposed to be an A+ leader and workaholic.

Still, his accuracy issues make me nervous.

Thank god I didn't follow the draft this year. It doesn't hurt so bad to see the pick. Upside? Yep. Talented? Yep. 3rd round? Nope. Ryan Mallett redux? Probably.
