Tom Brady suspended again

If Brady takes this suspension he is admitting guilt. I would rather see him tell Goodell right where to go and retire. Not like he is lacking for cash. Or maybe Kraft should dip into his very deep pockets and pay the players salary and boycott the season. I am sure the other teams will be happy when all the Pats opponents are getting free wins.

First of all this does not take into account any appeals. Brady could appeal to the entire 2nd circuit, which effectively would be a stay unti they decide whether to take the case or not. Let's say they deny him in June. Brady can then appeal to the Supreme court and they could deny him in October. Brady would then have to sit out in the middle of the season.

You can polish a turd only so much. Either they get some sort of continuity, then boom, gone for a month. Basically reset back to zero. It won't be good either way. Or it's Jimmy G losing and continuity or training camp reps. It's a lose lose.

Here is the unpleasant truth:

While I know there remain further avenue of appeals, this was an uphill battle from the get-go. The NFLPA made their bed and now, unfortunately, we all have to sleep in it.

Anyone that thinks this is going to be a major point of contention during the next CBA is sadly mistaken. The NFLPA is an impotent union, which explains how this process came into being in the first place. There isn't going to be any strike over this issue. The union will do what they have done for the past 3 decades: bend over and take it.

Back to you Judge Berman.

Can't he decide to rule on the other items?
From what I'm learning, Berman cannot rule any way other than the way he was instructed. He has been instructed to reinstate the suspension.

Anyone heard from Huard or Rohan Davey lately? That's just my way of trying to mitigate my own f-ing frustration.

Current mood.

I've said this before and i'll say it again. Don yee deserves much of the blame here for telling Tom he can go ahead and destroy his phone. It was a stupid and naive move in his part.

Katzmann, like Berman, is an intelligent being with thought for the law. The other two are just corrupt idiots.

Brady should appeal again and if Trump getting into office means he will do something to make this BS suspension go away then I may actually bring myself to vote for him.

The supreme court only hears truly important cases. It would be a shock if they were to accept this one.

This is kind of important though, it's not about PSI in some footballs, it's about management being able to be judge, jury and executioner (as well as hear appeals on their own punishments they dole out) with union workers

This is a labor issue, so it could in theory make it to the Supreme court, but I'm no lawyer so I'm talking angrily out of my ass anywaya

Yeah that's pretty much all they have Brady destroying his phone is what they are holding on to.

Goodell would've used anything to slam Brady. Even if the phone had not been destroyed, Goodell would've just turned the already ridiculous allegation of Brady giving gifts / signed footballs to McNally and Jastremski into some nefarious scheme of reward for deflation.

I doubt that Yee actually told him that.

What they should have done is, once the phone was destroyed, said "we are not giving it to you, period" instead of admitting it was destroyed.

This was after Ted Wells said he didn't need his phone. It's not Yee's doing.

LOL, good choice of words. "Take a hike." Exactly what Brady is not allowed to do for 4 games.

Go f.ck yourself and get the f.ck out of this forum. Nobody wants a loser Jet fan trolling here. Go talk to your fellow loser Jet fans about your sh.tty team that hasn't been to a super bowl since the 60's

Kraft should forfeit the away games while Brady is suspended..

No it isn't. Goodell used the signed footballs thing to turn into
Brady “knew about, approved of, consented to, and provided inducements and rewards in support of a scheme by which with Mr. Jastremski's support, Mr. McNally tampered with the game balls.”
